The Medicine Hat Sun Devils will be kicking off their Rocky Mountain Lacrosse League junior B Tier 2 home campaign in familiar territory Saturday. While the Sun Devils were set to open the season with a new home at the Moose Recreation Centre, renovations have forced the Sun Devils to return to the Kinplex to host the Calgary Axemen Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and the High River Heat Sunday at 4:30 p.m. The Sun Devils opened the season at 0-2 with a 21-7 loss to the Red Deer Renegades last Saturday and an 11-8 setback to the Calgary Axemen Sunday. Noah Weimer leads the Sun Devils with seven goals through the two games, while Izaak Loran boasts four goals and four assists and captain Aidan McLean has a goal and five helpers. Phil Moroney sits atop the Axemen’s scoring chart with 11 points through two games played. The Axemen are 2-0 to start the year, while the Heat sit 1-0 following a 16-5 win over the Strathmore Venom. 7
