Twist and Flip does well in Olds

Seven athletes from Redcliff’s Twist and Flip Gymnastics Club were in Olds this past weekend and came home with some impressive results.

Emily Robinson won gold for her floor routine at the Hay Classic, then added a bronze on the uneven bars to wind up fifth overall in Level 3.

Tia Malcom took second on her Level 3 division vault, while Madellyn Samuelson had a fourth-place result on the bars.

Taliyah Bleau (seven on beam) and Carly Luscombe (seventh on bars) rounded out Twist and Flip’s Level 3 crew. As for the Level 4’s, Aurora Jones was fifth on both vault and balance beam, while Peyton Hoesing took sixth on vault.

Medicine Hat is hosting a provincial meet this weekend at the Cypress Centre. It starts Friday afternoon and runs through to Sunday.
