Two Bulldogs reach podium

By Medicine Hat News on March 15, 2019.

Madison Kane-Rissling and Elic Ayomanor led the Medicine Hat Bulldogs Track and Field Club to a few podium finishes at the Alberta Indoor Track and Field Championships and Canadian Masters National Indoor Championships over the weekend in Edmonton.

Kane-Rissling took home a silver medal in the under-20 women’s triple jump and bronze in the high jump – both in a field of four athletes – plus earned a fourth-place finish among a field of 10 in long jump.

Ayomanor clinched silver in the under-18 boys long jump, besting 18 of 19 competitors, and took fourth in the 60-metre. Ayomanor finished first in the 300-metre, but was disqualified on a lane violation.

The Bulldogs sent 11 athletes to the event. Other noable finishes include Maxwell Archibald, who took fourth in the under-20 boys shot put and Renae Ryan, who finished sixth in the under-20 girls long jump.
