A quartet of Hat High players have advanced to the final selection camp for Football Alberta’s under-18 and under-17 teams.

Receiver Elic Ayomanor, defensive lineman Dylan Callan and linebackers Aayden Callan and Piercen Meier all made the cut down to 130 after a selection camp in Edmonton Jan. 12-13.

Football Alberta said there were 400 athletes vying for the spots. The Hat players will now get to attend the April 5-7 camp in Calgary from which the under-18 and under-17 rosters will be chosen.

The under-18 roster plays at the Football Canada Cup in Kingston, Ont. in July, while the under-17 squad — which includes Hat High coach Quinn Skelton on its staff — goes to Hawaii in August for a development camp.
