Stefan Judge was trailing heading into his last round Saturday at the Montana State Silver Gloves card in Billings.

But the Medicine Hat Boxing Club fighter found another gear.

Judge won his 145-pound youth division bout with Butte’s Brendon Roat thanks to an impressive finish, making for a great night for Hat boxing.

Judge earned a split decision over Roat, one of two wins on the same card for the Gas City.

Later in the evening, national champ Janick Lacroix went toe-to-toe with Montana champ Bryson Kearny in a 165-pound youth open contest. Lacroix won that and also took home best boxer of the tournament honours.

Meanwhile in Edmonton, Medicine Hat’s Tristan Deveau was edged via split decision by Lloydminster’s Emile Smith in a 160-pound youth open draw.
