Crusaders pull away from Talons late

A comeback from the Eagle Butte Talons fell short in a Southeast Basketball Conference contest in Dunmore Wednesday.

After rallying to tie Brooks’ St. Joseph’s Collegiate 60-60 through three quarters in the varsity boys game, the host Talons couldn’t keep up the momentum and fell 92-78.

St. Joseph’s Ryan Dick scored 13 of his 31 points in the deciding fourth quarter to give the Crusaders the win.

Triston Duchscherer had 36 for the Talons while Ethan Campbell added 19 including five three-pointers.

In the junior boys game the Crusaders won 62-41.
