Tigers report blue-line injuries

Medicine Hat News

The Medicine Hat Tigers only dressed five defencemen in their last game and will continue to be short on the back end entering tonight’s home game against the Red Deer Rebels.

The team listed both Joel Craven and Trevor Longo as injured on Tuesday’s WHL report, in addition to forward Baxter Anderson.

Craven is listed as week-to-week, while Longo is day-to-day, both with upper body injuries. Anderson is out 7-to-10 days with an upper body injury as well.

At 6-6-0-1, the Tigers trail the 7-3-1-0 Rebels by two points in the Central Division, though the division leader has two games in hand.

After tonight, the Tigers head to Regina for a game Friday, then return to Canalta Centre against Moose Jaw Saturday. Both the Pats and Warriors are averaging less than three goals per game, as is Medicine Hat and only three other teams league-wide.
