Hat juniors top Sooners at nationals

Medicine Hat’s junior AAA All-Stars jumped back to .500 at the Junior Little League Canadian Championship with an 8-7 victory over the Atlantic Sooners on Wednesday in Lethbridge.

Hayden Hall picked up the victory after entering in relief of Payton Eddy in the second and holding the Sooners to one run on three hits over the next 5 and 1/3. Hall also collected the winning RBIafter drawing a bases-loaded walk-off walk in the seventh.

Medicine Hat (2-2) will close out the round robin today against Quebec (4-0) at 8:30 a.m.
