Already guaranteed home field advantage in the first round of Western Major Baseball League playoffs, the Medicine Hat Mavericks host a potential first-round opponent tonight in the Lethbridge Bulls, looking to solidify their place atop the Western Division.
At 31-7 the Mavs’ magic number for clinching top spot ahead of second-place Okotoks is three entering the night. They’ll finish a rained-out game against Edmonton at 5 p.m. Wednesday at Athletic Park, starting with a 3-1 lead in the fourth inning, then play a full game at 7:05 p.m.
