Provincials might be the high point of the gymnastics season but there are still meets afterwards in the competitive circuit, and Medicine Hat’s Salta Gymnastics Club members took full advantage of one this past weekend in Okotoks.

At the Mountain Magic Invitational, Salta kids combined for 62 medals and nine all-around champions — with five more on the podium in the all-around.

Olivia Chenard followed up her provincial title with an all-around Level 6 gold in Okotoks in the Junior C division, winning every event but beam. Teammate Kristen Friesen did one medal better, sweeping all her events to win the Junior D title.

Aubri Krassman parlayed three event golds to an all-around championship in Level 4 Junior B. Three senior gymnasts won Level 4 titles: Daniele Hollingworth in Senior C (all gold), Emma Flug in Senior D (three gold) and Mariah Robson in Senior B (two gold).

Rounding out the giant list of all-around winners was Gemma Snazel in Level 3 Junior B, Deija Gehring in Level 2 Division D, and Chelsia Cooper in Level 2 Division E.
