Crescent Heights improved to 6-1 in league play with a 13-3, six-inning win over South Central Thursday.

Adam Klick struck out 12 in going the distance for the Vikings, who applied the mercy rule in the Southern Alberta High School Baseball Tier 2 clash.

Leadoff man Dylan Fauth went 2-for-3 with 2 RBI. John Rohlheiser took the loss for the Scorpions.

Meanwhile, in Tier 1 play the McCoy Colts blew out Vauxhall 14-4 in the minimum five innings at Athletic Park.

Ty Brooks struck out six and only let up three hits for the Colts, while Joel Herron went 2-for-3 with a double and two runs. Tanner Brummehlhuis took the pitching loss for Vauxhall.

Note: A story in Wednesday’s paper stated the junior high Notre Dame team beat McCoy. It was actually the Notre Dame high school side from Saskatchewan.
