Crescent Heights’ bats couldn’t be cooled down in an 11-7 win over Erle Rivers Monday in local high school baseball league play.

At Jefferies Park, Maxx Suhai pitched the last inning and went 3-for-3 with 2 RBI in the victory, but it was Adam Klick’s two-run home run in the third inning that gave the Vikings a lead they wouldn’t relinquish.

Asix-run sixth was the exclamation point, though the Comets did score three off Suhai to make it interesting.

Dylan Fauth struck out seven but also walked seven in six innings, eventually taking the win for Crescent Heights.

Kyle Hulit had a 2-for-3 day for Erle Rivers. Chris Ives took the loss, throwing five innings.
