Sun Devils open home campaign this weekend

The Medicine Hat Sun Devils will aim to break the early .500-mark when they welcome the Olds Stingers (2-0) to the Kinplex for Saturday’s home opener at 6:45 p.m.

The Sun Devils (1-1) kicked off the Rocky Mountain Lacrosse League junior B Tier 2 season last weekend with an 11-6 loss to the Calgary Axemen (2-1) Saturday and a bounce-back 18-8 win over the Calgary Sabrecats (0-2) Sunday.

Izaak Loran leads the Sun Devils with four goals and seven assists for 12 points through the first two games of the season. Aidan McLean sits right behind at 10 points after racking up six goals and four helpers through the opening weekend.

The action continues Sunday when the Calgary Wranglers (0-1) come to town for a 3:30 p.m. contest at the Kinplex.
