Junior, senior curlers compete

The Medicine Hat Curling Club is seeing some old and some new this week.

On Saturday the club hosted its annual Junior Bonspiel, with more than 40 youngsters taking part. On Monday and going through until tomorrow, the Gas City Senior Bonspiel has control of the house.

In the junior event, Jaden McIntyre’s team including Sarah Peters, Jasmyn Kallen and Katie McNeil of Coaldale went 3-0 to claim one of the top spots. The only other foursome to go without a loss was the Oyen-based side of Morgan Senkiw, Charity Logan, Kelten Pratt and Jolyene Hogan.

Home teams included those skipped by Addisyn Helmle, Charley Foster, Jaxon Degenhardt and Lawson Braat.

The seniors wrap up with a 1 p.m. final Wednesday.
