Phantoms improve to 7-2 in men’s indoor soccer league

The Earls Phantoms retained their place at the top of the standings in the Medicine Hat Men’s Indoor Soccer League with a 3-2 victory over the PBR Rangers on Sunday at the Family Leisure Centre.

While PBR’s Forkpa Sumo scored twice to keep the Phantoms on their toes, Dean Studer, Matt Wilson and Kelly Blouin all scored for Earls to secure the victory.

Devo FC kept on Earls’ heels with an 8-3 win over the Wild, keeping them within two points of the Phantoms for the top of the standings.

The Rattlers under-18 Black squad handed PBR another loss on Tuesday at the Family Leisure Centre, this time chasing them off the field in a 12-0 blowout.

Adam Kahn led the way with four goals for the Rattlers while Nick Staruiala added a hat trick, Jack Coen and Sloan Dykema both potted a pair and Garren Oosterhuis rounded out the scoring with an individual marker. The win puts the Rattlers at 5-3-1, three points back of Devo FC for second.

The Ralson Rovers kept the standings close with a 4-0 win over the Rattlers under-17 team on Tuesday. The win leaves Ralston in fourth place, one point back of the Rattlers under-18 squad, at 5-3-0. Daniel Maloney, John Manuel, JayJay Migochi and Trenag Carol all scored for Ralston in the win.
