Clippers top Rattlers

The Medicine Hat Rattlers men’s and women’s volleyball teams both fell to the Briercrest Clippers in Alberta Colleges Athletics Conference volleyball action on Friday in Caronport.

The men’s squad fell in four sets (25-23, 25-11, 20-25, 34-32) for just their second setback of the season, putting them at 9-2 on the year, while the women were swept (25-12, 25-14, 25-16).

Joao Pedro Freire led the men’s squad with 13 kills while Chad Sieben added 24 assists and Kreggan Scharnatta had eight digs.

Amber Stigter led the Rattler women with four digs. Janessa Oelke had 10 assists and Shaya Suchy added five digs.
