Ropers, racers to fill up infield this weekend

Medicine Hat News Thousands of team ropers will converge on Medicine Hat this weekend for the seventh annual Memory Lane Team Roping Memorial. The popular event starts at 9 a.m. Saturday and Sunday at the stampede grounds, with a second ring being used due to the sheer number of participants. Awards banquets are slated for each night at the Cypress Centre, with the general public also able to buy tickets for $17 and join in. There’s even a kids dummy roping Saturday at 6 p.m. A barrel racing event also goes Saturday. 6-5
