Novice tournament no easy win

Medicine Hat News A spike in interest in lawn bowling made for a tougher than usual draw at the Medicine Hat Lawn Bowling Club Saturday. Eight teams —up from four a year ago — were entered in the annual novice pairs tournament which is reserved for players with five years experience or less. That’s a good sign for the club. Wes Bresee and Jeff Desjarlais beat Jean Bresee and Joan Therriault 11-1 in the final. Dave Dennis, Pat Dennis and Bill Cuthill beat Lori and Derrick Durdle 13-6 in the third-place match. 5-4
