Juniors square off in tourney

Medicine Hat News Kids got a chance to compete at the Medicine Hat Tennis Club Saturday, taking to the court for the annual Tim Hortons Junior Open. Three age divisions saw action on a beautiful day on the courts. Ryder Siegers outlasted Amaly Bartman 8-5 in the teen group final. In 10-under play, it was Theron Bensler beating Reid Douville 6-4 for gold. And in the 8-under division, Isaac Streifel edged Eva Schneider 6-2. The Medicine Hat Open begins play Wednesday, the last big event on the season schedule with singles and doubles divisions this week and the mixed division Sept. 8-10. 6-5
