SHEILA PATTISON

SHEILA PATTISON 1947 – 2024 Sheila Mary Pattison (Weiss) of Medicine Hat, Alberta, passed away peacefully April 17, 2024, at the age of 76 years. Sheila was born in Medicine Hat on November 2nd, 1947, to Edward and Eva Weiss. For her high school education, she attended Medicine Hat High School. She then spent many years as a cashier in a few local grocery stores, and brought smiles to hundreds of faces as ‘BJ the Clown’, before transitioning her career and becoming a nurse’s aid. Everyone that had the pleasure of knowing Sheila knew how much she loved spending days out in her garden, at the rodeo, in the mountains and around horses. One thing about Sheila was she would never be caught without her camera in hand to make sure she captured every moment with her family and friends, her children and her grandchildren whom she adored, and with her neighbors at tea. Sheila was an active member of the church, falling in love with every place she had the pleasure of travelling to on her missions. She retired from the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital in 2015, and in her final years, she resided at Masterpiece Southland Meadows nursing home. Sheila is survived by her three children: Murray Weiss, Cheryl Griffin, Ryan Pattison (Shawn Donaher); six grandchildren: Alysha Gurney (Dan Davies), AJ Feeg, Brooklynn Wilson, Hunter Griffin, Kennedy Griffin, and Jurney Davies. She was predeceased by the father of her children, Brian Pattison, her parents, Edward and Eva Weiss, and her two brothers, Lyle and Gary Weiss.
