DEL MERRICK 1955 ~ 2024 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Del (Delores) Merrick on Tuesday, April 2, 2024. Del is survived by her husband, Lorne Merrick; son, Mark (Crystal) Durrant; son, William (Lorna) Merrick; daughter, Tina (Kevin) Steinke; grandson, Jordan Durrant; granddaughter, Amber Durrant; granddaughter, Kayla Merrick; grandson, Brady (Ashleigh) Merrick; grandson, Brad Steinke; granddaughter, Amanda (Ryan) Steinke; granddaughter, Katrina (Tylan) Cripps as well as numerous great-grandchildren. Del was predeceased by first husband, Darryl Durrant; mother, Mary (Sinora) and father, Tex. A Celebration of Del’s life will be held at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel, 901 – 13 Street SW, Medicine Hat on Saturday, April 13, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Murray Jaster officiating. ROSE WOLFE

ROSE WOLFE 1928 – 2024 Miss Rose Wolfe of Medicine Hat was born on March 16, 1928, in Prelate, Saskatchewan and passed away on April 9, 2024, in Medicine Hat. She is survived by her brother Frank Wolf of Abbotsford, BC. She considered all her nieces and nephews her kids: James and Bev Grant, Dorothy and Frank Spina; Larry and Pat Wolfe, Ethel and Raymond Lissel; Ed Faichuk, Carol Faichuk; Corrie and Brenda Stolz, Tammie and Rick Self; Darnelda and Adrian Siegers, Marcia Lee, Neil and Charlotte Bonogofsky; Wayne and Doreen Wolfe, Sharon and Ron Getz, David Wolfe, Charlene and Blaine Peterson; Stacy Wolf; as well as her many great nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents Joseph and Katherine Wolfe, six brothers, four sisters and their spouses; nephews Ken Grant, Ted Faichuk, Owen Bonogofsky and Emery Wolfe. Rose spent the past 22 years living in Chinook Village and was surrounded by many friends and caring staff. Her career was in retail sales and for many years operated her own business in the Southview Mall. Once her business was sold, she volunteered and became a part-time employee of Christ the King Catholic church. She was well respected and loved by all her nieces and nephews. The funeral mass will be celebrated at Holy Family Parish (1451 Strachan Road SE) on Friday, April 12, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. with Fr. Iqbal Khurshid celebrant. nterment will follow at Hillside Cemetery. LYDIA THOME (WEBER) 1933 ~ 2024 Lydia was born August 22, 1933 in Drexlerhau (Province of Kremnitz) Czechoslovakia now known as Slovakia.
She passed away peacefully on April 9, 2024, at the Good Samaritan Village with her family by her side. She was predeceased by her husband Eugene on October 7, 2020. ANDREW SWAIN 1960 – 2024 Andrew Ronald Swain of Medicine Hat, passed away on April 3, 2024, at the age of 63 years. He leaves to cherish his memory his siblings: Calinda Winters of Medicine Hat, Norman Swain of Medicine Hat and David Swain of Calgary. He was predeceased by his mother Eileen Swain and his adopted father James Swain; three brothers, Rick, Mike, and Randy Swain and by one sister Mona Swain.
