Eleanor was the beloved mother of and is survived by her six children Bonnie (Wayne), Connie, Don, Ronda (Colin), Shawn and Lonnie and her sister Doris. She will also be missed by her seven fur grand babies and two feathered grand babies. Gone before her was the love of her life Bill Sanders, parents Bob and Mary Wildeman, and her brother Gene.
Bill and Eleanor spent a lot of their lives building and growing the company that was her name’s sake, El-San Industries. They encouraged many from Roblin to join them on their journey West. Eleanor loved family gatherings, the more around her dinner table, the happier she was. When she could help any of her kids feed the masses, she was just as happy. She was a master in her kitchen and her grand feasts were produced with a smile on her face and the occasional Coors Light in her hand. During their lives together, Mom and Dad enjoyed the company of some amazing friends, in some amazing places, doing what they both loved, golfing. Mom remained close with many of those same friends up to her passing, all of whom will miss her dearly. There will be countless hearts that will feel the joy of having known her and the pain of having lost her.
There is a come and go event at Bam’s on Sunday November 20th, from 2:00 p.m. 5:00 p.m. Anyone wishing to celebrate with the family, please contact one of her kids, or email Colin at crgrant@telus.net if you need more details.
A Celebration of Life will be held for the Mum on Saturday May 27th, 2023 in Medicine Hat finalized details will be shared closer to that date but please save the date if you would like to attend. Those who wish to remember Eleanor with a donation, may do so to the Medicine Hat Food Bank, one of the places she enjoyed volunteering her time.
