JEANNE LOUISE ROTH

1926 – 2022

The family of Jeanne Roth (nee Wolfe) are heartbroken to announce her passing on June 12, 2022, at the age of 95 years. Jeanne was born July 4, 1926, in Foremost, Alberta and lived most of her life there.
Jeanne Roth is survived by her daughter-in-law, Annette Roth and her daughter, Janice Poberznick; her grandchildren, Melissa Roth, Jason Roth, Dallas (Tamara) Hirsche, Chad (Marilyn) Hirsche, Heather (Bruce) Clayton, Brett (Amy) Hirsche, Nicole (Derek) Losey, Cale (Lindy) Poberznick, Hayley Poberznick; and 15 great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, George T. Roth in 2002. She lost her daughter, Sherry Hirsche in 1999; her son, Greg Roth in 2013; son-in-law, Reid Hirsche in 2014 and her son-in-law, Blaine Poberznick in 2019.
In 1947, Jeanne married George T. Roth and they lived on the farm in Conquerville, AB where Greg, Sherry and Janice were born. In 1957, they moved to Foremost and Jeanne continued to live there until 2016 when she moved to The Wellington and then Masterpiece Southlands in Medicine Hat.
Mom worked at the Royal Bank in Foremost and later as a secretary for the Department of Agriculture until she retired at the age of 59. In retirement, Mom enjoyed looking after her flowers in her yard and she also took up golf and had many enjoyable rounds with family and friends. Mom played the organ at the Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Foremost for many years and was a long-time member of the CWL. She loved to sew and knit and made an afghan for each of her grandchildren and great grandchildren, she also made many baby sweaters for friends and family. It was always important for Mom to look her best with her hair and makeup done which she continued until the end of her life. She will always be remembered for the attention she gave to that. To say that Mom loved her family would be an understatement as was evident by her many phone calls to each of us wondering how we were doing. She will be missed.
The Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, June 20th @ 1:00pm at the Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Foremost, AB, with Father Iqbal Khurshid celebrant. Interment to follow at the Foremost Cemetery. Those wishing to not attend the mass, are welcome to join us for a celebration of Jeanne’s life that will be held at 2:30pm in the Foremost Community Hall.
