1930 ~ KATHLEEN CARLYLE ~ 2022

Kathleen Maude Carlyle, (nee Langdon), beloved wife of the late Wilfred “Bill” Carlyle, passed away on Tuesday, February 1st, 2022 at the age of 91 years. Kathleen leaves to cherish her memory: cousins, John (Delores) Chandler and David (Donna) Chandler; 2nd cousins Art, Jeff, Christine, Dean, Derek, Dana, Jim and Tom Chandler as well as many Langdon cousins in England. Also cherishing her memory are her sister-in-law Martha Carlyle; nieces and nephews, Terry Carlyle, Leslie (Jim) Ebert, Danny (Lynn) Carlyle and Colin (Trish) Carlyle. Kathleen was predeceased by her parents Lily and Sydney Langdon, her sisters Marjorie and Dorothy Langdon and her brother Richard. Kathleen, a devout Christian, had many passions in her lifetime including her beloved husband Bill, sisters Marjorie and Dorothy, extended family, friends, her church family, reading and travel. She met her future husband Bill late in life while working at the Medicine Hat Hospital. They married in 1980 and lived with and cared for Bill’s mother, Isabel Kate, until her passing in 1987. After retiring, Kathleen and Bill loved to travel and tend to their beautiful garden. Anyone who had the pleasure of knowing Kathleen was struck by her deep and abiding devotion to those she loved. Her faith in God and her church always sustained her, giving her a full life. We give grateful thanks to all front-line medical staff, EMS paramedics, management and staff at the Medicine Hat Villa and many others who helped support and care for her in recent years.
