Beloved mother to Wesley (Binhwa) Post, Natalie (Brent) Sauer, Coin Post, Brenna Oulette, Tina (Randy) Pastoor, Teresa Pastoor, Robert (Sharmon) Pastoor, Rodney (Nancy) Pastoor; Oma to Jaclyn (Grey) Sauer, Jen (Andy) Kerslake, Jerrid (Benita) Sauer, Alannah Reinhardt, Alex Reinhardt, Cassandra Oulette, Nicolas Oulette, Abbott Knezic, Piercon Knezic, Mackenzie Meunier, Chase Pastoor, Jordyn Pastoor, Talina Pastoor, Tylan Pastoor; great Oma to Kora and Lincoln Sauer and Mason & Jonah Kerslake; sister of Frank (Nel+) Schmal, Jim+ (Linda) Schmal, John (Helen) Schmal, Jan Schmal, Peggy Schmal; in-laws, Klaas+ & Jantina+ Pastoor, Pieter+ (Mavis) Pastoor, Frouk Taal+ and Bill (Phyllis) Pastoor; as well as being much loved by extended family and friends. Anne was born in Alphen aan den Rijn, The Netherlands, January 31, 1936, to Franciscus & Anna Schmal. There she grew up with four brothers who adored her. Growing up during World War II took its toll and her family bravely set out to their new county in Canada. The memories of entering Pier 21 in Halifax, made a real impact on her and it was very important to her to return there later in her life to see the book that her family had signed when they entered their new country. Medicine Hat became their chosen community. Here Anne married and had her three children, Wesley, Natalie & Colin. She stayed at home and raised her family until the time was right for her to begin her career in bookkeeping. She worked for various businesses, settling at Hat Hardware and working proudly for Mr. Harry Veiner. Anne married Dirk Pastoor in 1984 and through their marriage became the mother of four more children, Tina, Teresa, Robert and Rodney. Dirk & Anne moved to Lethbridge and worked together for the family company – Ducan Industries until their retirement. Retirement brought them to a beautiful home in Sanca, BC where they enjoyed time on Kootenay Lake. They also travelled down south in their motorhome for many years and were proud to say they visited 49 states. History was one of her passions and she enjoyed visiting historical places such as civil war cemeteries, museums, and the Statue of Liberty being one of her favorites. Our mother had a beautiful singing voice and sang in many choirs and with her trio The Masters Touch. Her gift of music was her ministry to many. She loved the Lord, and we know that she is now ‘Safe in Jesus Arms’ (Veilig in Jezus Armen). Her family would like to thank all the loving staff at Haven View for their kindness and care they gave to our mother over the past years and to her most devoted and loving husband who was always by her side. A Celebration of Anne’s Life will take place at a future date. Memorial Gifts in Anne’s memory may be made to the Parkinson Association of Alberta, 120 – 6835 Railway Street SE, Calgary, Alberta, T2H 2V6. 1943 ~ WAYNE WILSON ~ 2022

Heaven has received another cowboy. Wayne Lyle Wilson passed away unexpectedly at the age of 78 years in Medicine Hat, on January 25, 2022 with his beloved wife, ShirleyAnn by his side. Wayne was born on June 24, 1943 in Medicine Hat, grew up on Battle Creek, SK. He loved ranch life and his many toys, his favourites being skidoo’s and airplane. Wayne is survived by his wife of 54 years, ShirleyAnn; daughters, Tammy (Jerry) Rousseau, Tracey (Harlan) Hammel, and Stephanie (Kevin) Zacher. He adored his seven grandchildren, Kiona, Rylan, Naia, Wilson, Daxon, Micah and Jacey. The huge smile on his face when the kids walked in the room was heartwarming. Predeceased by his father, Lyle Wilson; mother, Meda Paterson and older brother, Larry Wilson. Forever remembered by his sisters, Dixie Black and Penny Read, whom he teased mercilessly. Much loved uncle, as well as many more honourary nieces and nephews that he collected along the way. So missed by his loyal dog and best friend, Maynard. He was full of mischief from a small boy and never quite grew out of it. His smile would light up the room and there was always a lot of BS and laughter. He enjoyed bowling, horseshoes, golf and a good game of cards at which he was known to cheat (he loved to get caught!). He kept a pick in his wallet, in case he came across a banjo. He loved to play and sing with his friends and was captain of the “Old cowboy scooter club”. There will be a private celebration of Wayne’s life. Those who wish to remember Wayne with a donation may do so to the Medicine Hat Ronald McDonald House, 569 4 St SW, Medicine Hat, AB T1A 4G2 or Alzheimer Society, 201, 770 – 6th Street SW, Medicine Hat, Alberta, T1A 4J6. PATSY ROGGE

January 27, 1936 – January 27, 2022
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Pauline “Patsy” Rogge, 86, of Medicine Hat on January 27, 2022. She was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. Pauline will be greatly missed by her loving husband Glenn Rogge; they were married 64 years ago and have been inseparable ever since. Together, they had four girls, Sandra (Glenn), Cindy (Kevin), Wendy, Shelley (Brad). Then, they were blessed with nine grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren. She also leaves to cherish her memory her siblings, Donna (Freddie), Jeannie (Ed), Rita (Vance), and Linda. She turned 86 and they say a person who dies on their birthday has fulfilled God’s given mission for them down hear on earth and that is exactly what this woman did. She was truly a survivor and wouldn’t have made it through any of it without her husband Glenn Rogge at her side. Pauline was predeceased by her daughter Wendy, granddaughter Courtney, and great grandson Dane; her sister Margaret, and brother Allan. Funeral arrangements will be announced in the spring. To e-mail an expression of sympathy, please direct it to: office@pattisonfuneralhome.com subject heading: Patsy Rogge, or you may visit http://www.pattisonfuneralhome.com and leave a message of condolence.
