1948 – FLEUR LARSON – 2022
With her heart full of love for her family, Fleur Ange Larson passed away on January 6, 2022 at St. Joseph's Home Carmel Hospice at 73 years of age, after fighting a long courageous battle with cancer. Beloved wife of Roger Larson; Fleur also leaves to cherish her memory a loving son Darren (Teresa) Szewaga and most precious grandson Brandon Szewaga. Fleur was predeceased by her precious daughter Suzan Szewaga on January 4, 1999 from a tragic car accident. Fleur was also predeceased by her parents George and Marie-Ange Casavant. She is survived by her seven sisters, Diane (Gordon) Beaulieu from Ste. Rose, MB, Leonie (Larry) Therrien from Neepawa, MB, Gloria (John) Boychuck from Winnipeg, MB, Aline (David) Erlendson from Ste. Rose, MB, Doreen Trudeau from Edmonton, AB, Odelia (Ted) Hoehn from Glenella, MB and Marie-Adele Dennis) Strilchuck from Edmonton, AB; five brothers Robert (Therese) Casavant from Ste. Amelie, MB, Leonard (Wendy) Casavant from East Selkirk, MB, Raymond (Louise) Casavant from Winnipeg, MB, Paul (Carol) Casavant from Winnipeg, MB, Michael (Valerie) Casavant from Fargo, ND, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Fleur is survived by Roger's children Kathy (Sheldon) Janzen, Jodie (Kent) Janz and Cale (Kristi) Larson and their families. Fleur was born March 12, 1948 in Ste. Rose where she was raised and educated. She moved to Medicine Hat in 1980 and became employed with Modern Press and Holmes Printing for 27 years until she retired in 2008. Fleur married Roger Larson on June 10, 1995 and they shared a special love for each other. Fleur enjoyed golfing and going to Phoenix, AZ, in the winter time. She cherished every moment she shared with her family, Roger, Darren, Teresa, and grandson Brandon who gave her so much pleasure. She touched so many lives with her gentle heart and she will be truly missed by all who knew her, however her smile andmemories will be forever in our hearts. Fleur also served the Lord faithfully in her Catholic faith. The funeral service will be held in the PATTISON CHAPEL on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at 1:30 p.m. with Life Celebrant, David Townsend. Due to the restrictions brought forward by the Chief Medical Officer of Health, indoor public gatherings are to be kept to 50 people. Masks are mandatory. The service will be live streamed, and family and friends who are unable to attend are invited to watch the service by searching for the Pattison Funeral Home Youtube page. The video will go live 10 minutes prior to service time and will remain on the youtube page for future viewing. Memorial gifts in Fleur's memory may be made to the charity of your choice. Anna ‘Ann’ Catherina Slessor (nee Coebergh) passed away peacefully at the Wellington Retirement Residence in Medicine Hat on Friday, January 7, 2022, at the remarkable age of 100 years. Ann is survived by her youngest son, Allan (Pat), three grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was predeceased by her husband, Bob in 2009 and her eldest son, Curtis in 2007. Ann was born and raised in the Medicine Hat and Bowmanton area. Ruth Lorraine Schimpf (Hammond) went to be with her Lord after a short illness.
Ruth is survived by: her three children: Keith Schimpf (Joanne) of Eatonia, Roberta Larson (Terry) of Strathmore, Judith Gies (Daniel) of Livelong; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one brother, Bill Hammond (Olga) of Climax; and number other relatives and friends.
Ruth was predeceased by: her husband, Victor Schimpf; and two brothers and two sisters.
The Funeral Service was conducted at Turtle Lake Mission on Wednesday, January 5th, 2022. The interment was held at the Livelong Cemetery, Livelong, Saskatchewan following the service.
Donations in memory of Ruth may be made to her home church, Turtle Lake Foursquare Mission in Livelong, SK.
McCaw Funeral Service Ltd., of Lloydminster, Alberta administered the funeral arrangements.

Clarence passed away at the age of 96 years on January 5, 2022 in Lethbridge. He was predeceased in 2014 by his beloved wife of 68 years, Dorothy May (Carter). He will be lovingly remembered by his son, Wayne (Esmeralda) Everett and his daughter, Mern (John) Bazian-Ramberg. He was a loving grandfather and will be sadly missed by grandchildren, Lance (Shannon) Bazian, Danielle (Kevin) Outhet and Steven (Lindsay) Everett. Clarence was especially proud of his great grandchildren, Jacek and Maddox Bazian, Grayson Outhet, and Olivia and Serena Everett. Clarence will be remembered for his compassion, sense of humour, integrity, humility and his love of family and friends. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, a private family Funeral Service will be held at Saamis Memorial Funeral Chapel at 1 o’clock pm on Wednesday, January 12, 2022.
