Marilyn Grace Lillian Pahl passed away on Saturday, December 18, 2021 at the age of 80 years, beloved wife of Walter Pahl of Burdett. A private funeral service will be held in the Evangelical Free Church in Bow Island on Thursday, December 30, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor George Mills officiating. Due to the restrictions brought forward by the Chief Medical Officer of Health, indoor public gatherings are to be kept to 50 people. Masks are mandatory. Interment will follow in the Burdett Cemetery. CHARLES SEITZ

On Saturday, December 17, 2021 Mr. Charles Seitz of Amisk, Alberta and formerly of Medicine Hat, Alberta passed away at the Wainwright Health Centre at the age of 68 years.

Chuck is survived by his loving wife, Phyllis; one brother, Donald Seitz; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Connie (Bob) Stephenson, Janet (Tom) Kitchen, Sally Drozdowich, Patrick (Mary) Kusch, Kevin (Mary Catherine) Kusch, Daryl Kusch, Theresa (Peter) Sangers, Sandra (Barry) Hardenne. He was predeceased by his parents, John (Clara) Seitz; brother-in-law, Brian Drozdowich.

JEROME HERLE

1949 ~ 2021

Jerome Peter Herle, beloved husband of Diana Herle, passed away at home on Thursday, December 16, 2021 at the age of 72 years. He was raised in Prelate, SK., among a loving family and many cousins. Jerome graduated from the Commercial Cooking Program at Lethbridge Community College in 1969, worked as a camp cook in Northern Alberta, a short order cook in Elkwater and Medicine Hat and then he spent 20 years working for Bert, Harry and James Hargrave on their ranch at Walsh. In 2013, he and Diana retired and moved to the family home in Medicine Hat. Jerome had a passion for cutting horses and sheep dogs operating two businesses: Herle Quarter Horses and JD Sheepdogs. He was very proud of his Lifetime Membership in the American Border Collie Association. Despite ill health for all of his life, Jerome was tenacious, in charge of his life and its direction and always looked to the future. Throughout his life, Jerome was sustained by his belief in God and his devotion to the Catholic Church. Jerome was predeceased by his parents, Peter and Eliza Herle; brother-in-law, Nick and niece, Laura. He is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Diana; siblings, Damian (Glenda) Herle, Carolyn (Louise Odland) Herle, Rosemarie Ledet, Annette (Peter Kirschner) Nieukerk, Lucelle (Lee) Prindle; nieces and nephews, Aaron, Jeremy, Sasja, Jess, Meghan, Nicole and Ian along with many cousins and good friends. Gerald Lust of Calgary, AB, passed away on Thursday, December 16, 2021, at the age of 80 years.

Gerald worked at the Redcliffe Glass Company, then farmed at Coaldale before eventually settling in Calgary.

Gerald is survived by his sister Betty (Syd) Loeppky; his brother Dennis (Leona) Lust as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Alfred and Ida Lust; his brother Glen Lust; grandnephew Kirby Lust

ROBERT ALLEN "BOB" YEAST

February 8, 1947 – Cabri, Saskatchewan
December 13, 2021 – Calgary, Alberta

Our beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend, Bob Yeast, passed away suddenly on Monday, December 13, 2021 at the age of 74 years.

He is deeply mourned by his wife Denyse Yeast; daughter Robin Yeast; son and daughter-in-law Jason Yeast and Nipa Chakravarti; grandchildren Gabrielle Coates, Ethan Coates, Rupali Yeast and Rohit Yeast. He is also survived by his siblings David Yeast, Joanne (Murray) Johnston, Perry (Marlene) Yeast; and in-laws Bruce Fandrich, Beverly (Christoph) Eversmann, Grant (Linda) Fandrich; and by many nieces and nephews and their children. He was predeceased by his parents P.A. and Estella Yeast; his parents-in-law Ed and Iris Fandrich and his brother- and sister-in-law Bryan and Bonny Fandrich.

Bob grew up, the eldest of four, on the Yeast ranch in the Cypress Hills south of Elkwater, Alberta where he excelled at all the cowboy skills. He and Denyse (Fandrich) married in 1965 and raised their two children, Robin and Jason, first on the Yeast home place and then on a ranch north of Eastend, Saskatchewan. Bob moved the family to Medicine Hat in 1977 and was a well-known realtor there until 1988 when he embarked on his 30-year real estate career in Calgary.

In retirement, Bob enjoyed his roles as chief cook, shopper and gardener. He will be especially missed in the Calgary AA community, where he achieved a remarkable 36 years of sobriety and service to others.
