1926 – THOMAS MASTEL – 2021

Thomas ‘Tom’ Mastel of Medicine Hat passed away on Monday, November 1, 2021 at the age of 95 years, beloved husband of the late Frances Mastel. He also leaves to cherish his memory six children, Barbara Dueling, Leonard (Sharon), Stan (Helena), Stephen (Laura), Patrick (Colleen) and Dennis (Alice); numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Magdalena and Joseph Mastel; his wife Frances on July 14, 2019 and seven brothers and one sister. A private family funeral service will be held in the PATTISON CHAPEL on Friday, November 5, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. with Fr. Rodel Abanto officiating. Due to the restrictions brought forward by the Chief Medical Officer of Health, indoor public gatherings are to be kept to 50 people. Masks are mandatory. The service will be live streamed, and family and friends who are unable to attend are invited to watch the service by searching for the Pattison Funeral Home Youtube page. The video will go live 10 minutes prior to service time and will remain on the youtube page for future viewing. Interment will follow in the Hillside Cemetery. Yvonne Alice Meiring passed away on Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at the age of 85 years, beloved wife of John Meiring of Cypress County. A private funeral service for family and friends will be held in the PATTISON CHAPEL on Saturday, November 6, 2021 at 4:00 p.m. with Pastor George Koopmans officiating. Due to the restrictions brought forward by the Chief Medical Officer of Health, indoor public gatherings are to be kept to 50 people. Masks are mandatory. Elgin Lawrence Hornung passed away on Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at the age of 74 years, beloved husband of Sylvia Hornung of Medicine Hat. SHARON McDOWELL

1946 – 2021

Sharon Gail McDowell of Medicine Hat passed away surrounded by her loving family on Monday, November 1st, 2021, at the age of 74 years.
Sharon leaves to cherish her memory, her Husband, Dave McDowell; daughters, Gail (Dave) Toth of Medicine Hat, Cindy (Andrew) Mac Ewen of Kansas and Kenny Hawkins (Kris Carruthers) of Cultus Lake,BC; step children, Crista Cleroux (Kris Sebastian) and Carmen McDowell (Sean); sister Carol “Toots” Schock; sisters-in-law, Faye Southwood, Theresa Armstrong, Beth (Bob) King; her adoring grandchildren, Riley (Sarah) Toth, Zachary (Renee) Toth, Kylie and Kenna Mac Ewen, Ben and Kimberly Cleroux, Alex and Andrew Thiessen; her first great granddaughter, Hadlee Toth, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by her loving parents, Hart and Adeline “Peggy” Peterson; sister, Denise Haranyi and numerous brothers and sisters-in-law. Sharon was born in Medicine Hat, AB on November 27, 1946. She retired from AGT after 20 years of service and also owned and operated The Bookshop she loved so much, both of these brought her many lifelong friends. She enjoyed her flower and vegetable gardens, an excellent baker and holiday host and otherwise had her nose in a book. Sharon, Mom, Mummers, was a loving and loyal mother, wife and friend. She LOVED every moment spent with her family and friends!
Her celebration of life will be held at Westminster United Church, 101 6 St SE, Medicine Hat at 3:00pm on Friday, November 5, 2021. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, the maximum number is 50 people to attend the service. In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of one’s choice may be made.

TERRI LUANN LABINE

1967 – 2021

It is with peace and comfort the family announce the passing of Terri Luann Labine (Klimchuk/Warren) peacefully surrounded by family, October 31st, 2021.
Terri is survived by her loving husband, Gilles; her adoring children, Brandon (Aliesha), Darian, and Brent (Dave). Her greatest joy was being Amma to Greyson and Atlas, her grandson's, and being a special Mamere to Abagail. She is survived by her caring and loving sister, Rena (Darren); and nephews, Brady (Jess) and Cole. Terri is predeceased by her parents, George and Sudaen (Gehring) Warren.
A special thank you for all the loving support from Debbie, Mark, and Morgan.
Terri's furbaby, Digger and grand-furbabies, Ryder, Harley, and Koda will forever be missing all the cookies, treats, and love.
Terri touched many of our lives unlike anyone, we can all take comfort in knowing her memory and legacy will live on.
The Family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to the entire HomeCare team, St. Joseph's Hospice, Community Paramedics, and countless others whom without your support we would not have been able to honour Terri. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked donations to AJ's Loan Cupboard, Medicine Hat, be made in her honour.
