1939 ~ RAYMOND OULETTE ~ 2021

Raymond Arnold Joseph Oulette passed away on Monday, May 3, 2021 at the age of 81 years, beloved husband of the late Gail Florence Oulette. He leaves to cherish his memory, his three daughters, Sheryl Sherk and her husband Doug, Laurie Oulette and Brenna Oulette all of Medicine Hat; seven grandchildren, Rachel (Rick) Vair, Teressa Sherk (Shawn Whiteford), Shayla, Grayson and Joel Oulette, Cassandra and Nicholas Oulette; four great grandchildren, Madison Densmore, Lilah, Kaidence and Gage Vair. He was predeceased by his parents David William Oulette and Esther Oulette, and his sisters, Mary, Edith, Florence and his brothers Sonny and Donald. 1942 ~ JEAN MARIE BAUER ~ 2021

Jean Bauer of Hilda, Alberta passed away on May 2, 2021, at the age of 79 years. Along with her beloved husband, Norman, Jean leaves to cherish her memory her sons, Gregory (Cathy) Bauer and grandson, Luke; Jeffrey (Kerri) Bauer and their children, Alexander, Samantha, Andrea, and Camryn; siblings, Ronald (Dawn) Holmlund, Doris Krause, and Faye (Waldy) Hugel. Jean was predeceased by her parents, Annie (nee Berglin) and John Holmlund; grandchildren, Eric Bauer and Matthew and Mark Bauer; and brother-in-law, Clyde Krause. 1944 ~ HAROLD 'JIM' HICKSON ~ 2021

Harold James Hickson passed away on Sunday, May 2, 2021 at the age of 76 years, beloved husband of Norma Hickson of Medicine Hat. He also leaves to cherish his memory Peter (Solange) Hickson and their children Christopher and Thomas. He was predeceased by his parents Geraldine and Terrance Hickson and one brother Patrick. Harold was born on June 4, 1944 in Woodstock, New Brunswick and was raised in Montreal. During his youth, hockey was a big part of his life and he continued that passion into the 90's. He joined the Royal Canadian Regiment in Montreal in September of 1961 and served for 38 years retiring from Wainwright in 1999. During their time in Wainwright, Harold had formed a band, playing at local establishments and weddings. He enjoyed playing and writing music as well as teaching kids how to play various instruments. No formal funeral service will be held. Interment will take place in Surrey, B.C. at a later date. Leslie James Geigle of Medicine Hat passed away on Friday, April 30, 2021 at the age of 66 years. He leaves to cherish his memory one sister Violet (Clarence) Mock; nephew, Darcy (Laurie) Geigle; two nieces, Debbie Bowser and Tanis (Alvin) Seefried; great nieces and nephews, April (Lachlan) Bell, Shaylee Geigle (Delwyn Mezei), Taylor Geigle (Logan Skagen), Danika Bowser, Mike Seefried as well as his aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents, Herbert and Ida Geigle and brother and sister-in-law, Harvey and Esther Geigle. As per Leslie’s request, no formal public service will be held. "Forever In Our Hearts"

Bruce and his family sadly announce the peaceful passing of Kathleen Lorraine Harty while at the River Ridge Senior’s Village in Medicine Hat on Monday, May 3, 2021, at the age of 71 years. Along with Bruce, Kathleen leaves to cherish her memory: three sons, Robert (Melanie), Neal (Lisa) and Daniel; six grandchildren, Jonathan (Jessica), Benjamin, Angelina, Stephanie, Cassidy and Emma; three great-grandchildren, Lucy, Sophia and Grace as well as four siblings, Gwen, Frank, David and Sharon. She was predeceased by her parents, Tony and Olive Pfefferle and John and Verne Leach; a brother, John as well as one grandchild, James. Kathleen was born on May 14, 1949, in Toronto, Ontario. Throughout her life-time, Kathleen lived in many different places before making Medicine Hat her home. She was a farm wife for many years and always worked very hard, especially when it came to picking rocks. Kathleen loved driving the tractor and enjoyed taking the boys with her each opportunity she had. She was the first to sign up for an adventure of any kind, and she especially enjoyed the outdoors and camping. She was dearly loved and will be fondly remembered for her cooking, laughter and the warmth of her smile. Due to COVID – 19 restrictions, the Funeral Celebration will be by invitation only. A Celebration of Kathleen’s life will be held at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel, 901 – 13 Street S.W., Medicine Hat, on Saturday, May 8, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. with Deacon Terry Olson officiating. SIEGLINDE HENSCHKE DARTSCH

1928 ~ 2021
Sieglinde Dartsch of Medicine Hat, passed away on Monday, May 3rd, 2021 at the age of 93 years. Sieglinde leaves to cherish her memory her children, Helmut (Bev), Siegbert (Linda), Lucy (Clayton), Art (Candy) and Susan; grandchildren, Jennifer, Bob, Shawna (Justy), Justin, Jenna (Tim), Kelly (Melissa), Matthew (Laura), Sarah, Brandon (Amber); great grandchildren, Elizabith, Jakob, Nic, Isaac, Georgia, Drake, Milo, Oliver, Leo, Elliot and Rylee; sisters, Lucy (Helmut) and Dorothea (Siegfried); as well as numerous nieces and nephews in Germany. Sieglinde was predeceased by her parents, Emil and Leokadja Schmidtke; first husband, Arnold Henschke in 1998; second husband, Edmund Dartsch in 2005; brothers, Leo, George, and Artur Schmidtke. Sieglinde married her soulmate, Arnold, in Germany in 1952. In 1953 they moved to Canada (Medicine Hat), where their five children were born. In 1974 the family moved to Steinbach, MB and then back to Medicine Hat in 1984. Sieglinde worked at the Best Western for 10 years. In 1998, Arnold, the love of her life, passed away and she then moved to Calgary. It is there that she met and married Edmund in 2000. After Edmund’s passing in 2005, she moved back to Medicine Hat and lived at the Chinook and then Riverview a year ago. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at Saamis Memorial Funeral Chapel 1 Dunmore Road SE Medicine Hat, AB T1A 1Z5, on Thursday, May 6th, 2021 from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Due to Covid-19 restrictions there will be a private Graveside Service held at Saamis Prairie View Cemetery, on Friday, May 7th, 2021 with Pastor David Hall officiating.
