1933 ~ DORIS LORAN ~ 2021

Doris Eugenia Loran of Medicine Hat, passed away on Thursday, March 18th, 2021 surrounded by her loving family, at the age of 87 years. Doris leaves to cherish her memory, her sons, Brian (Brenda) Loran and Perry Loran; daughters, Wanda (Dave) Dease, Sheila Burke, and Laura Didack; 12 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Thomas Loran many years ago, parents; Isadore and Mary Rose Montour; daughter, Judy Arnold and son- in-law, Steve Didack. Doris was born at Fox, AB on December 7th, 1933. She grew up in various places but settled in Medicine Hat where she married and raised her children. Doris had many occupations, a Hairdresser, Bookkeeper, Bricklayer, and she even tried Carpentry School. In her later years she ran her own commercial cleaning company and she worked diligently to keep all her customers satisfied and content. At home Doris enjoyed puzzles, her crossword books, making floral arrangements for all occasions, knitting and gardening. She could often be found checking her lotto 6/49 tickets…. her one guilty pleasure. Doris had the purest love for all animals, especially dogs. Time spent with family and friends were a priority and she especially cherished the moments spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Family would like to give a special thanks to the staff of both, Cypress View Foundation and Sunnyside Care Centre for their wonderful care. A private family graveside service will be held at SAAMIS PRAIRIE VEIW CEMETERY at a later date. GLEN DOUGLAS THORBURN

September 22, 1943 – February 27, 2021

It is with great sadness that we announce that on Feb. 27, 2021 Glen Douglas Thorburn passed away peacefully at Centennial Centre in Ponoka. His loving wife, Dorothy was waiting for him with open arms. He also joins his parents Evelyn and Jim as well as his four brothers, Art, Colin, Lyle, and Mack. He will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by his daughters, Shauna (Bill) McKenney, Jeannine (Tho) Nguyen, Roxanne (Glen) Brown, his 10 grandchildren and 7 great- grandchildren.Glen was born Sept. 22, 1943 in Killam. On April 10, 1965 he married Dorothy Jean. Glen had a no nonsense attitude, and was always good for a laugh. He was always a rock solid man until Dec. 21, 2019 when he suddenly lost his wife of 54 years. His loneliness and heartbreak was made worse by the pandemic. His health and quality of life began to deteriorate rapidly and his only wish was to be with Dorothy again. May you now rest in peace together. Loving you forever dad.
