Later he took employment with the Medicine Hat Travelodge for 10 ½ years as their building Maintenance Manager. During this time he began to have health problems and had an Angioplasty and could not return to work, so began histime helping to raise his grandchildren, which he loved and enjoyed every day of. Art also loved his garden and every spring couldn’t wait to see it grow. His hobbies were fishing and golfing but the love of his life was his children and grandchildren and great granddaughter Stella. He also continued to serve as pastor whenever called upon to fill the pulpit. He enjoyed travelling with his wife for many years.
