Bonnie Carla Campbell, beloved wife of Glen Campbell, passed away in Bow Island on Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at the age of 58 years.
As a result of the restrictions regarding COVID-19, and the government’s recommendations a private funeral service will be held at Southland Funeral Chapel, Taber on Saturday, November 28, 2020. Condolences may be forwarded by visiting our website at http://www.southlandfuneral.com.

MARTIN, Esther Margaret (Jackle)

February 4, 1929 – November 21, 2020
With sadness, we announce the passing of our dear and precious Mom, Grandma, Oma, Auntie, sister, cousin, and friend, Esther Martin. She was loved, admired and respected by everyone who knew her. Her family and friends were her life. Although we grieve our loss and feeling an incredible absence from our lives, we are so grateful for the many cherished memories we will hold forever because of her. She is survived by her five children, eleven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren:

with Boyd (Natalia) Bennett and Bree, and Tara (Jarrett);
Margaret (Rodney) Brusky
with Priscilla, Roderick (Sherrisse) Caleb, Kaitlyn, Alyssa, Brooklyn and Danielle and Ryland;
Barry
with Stephanie (Brenda), Wade (Sara), Sara (James);
Mavis Martin
; and
Bryce (Tracey)
with Dallin (Brianna), Jocelyn (Seth) and Reagan (Jana) along with many nieces and nephews, two brothers Harold (Irene) and Gordon (Anita) and sister-in-law Margaret.
Esther was predeceased in 2001 by her loving husband and friend of 49 years, Bruce; her parents Louis and Caroline and her youngest brother Ed. Esther was born in Weyburn. She attended school at Pontoville. She married Bruce on June 5, 1952 in Christ Lutheran Church at Ingebrigt, the same church her parents Louis and Caroline married in 1927. Mom and Dad’s farm was 4 miles east and 6 miles north of Golden Prairie. They lived in the house his parents built. In 1967, they moved to the “new” home across the road. Exciting times! In 1984, Esther and Bruce moved to Medicine Hat to the home where Mom lived until her passing. Wherever they lived, everyone knew of Esther’s faith in God, her love of family, commitment to community and her culinary and horticultural expertise. Her children’s ball teams will attest to the hospitality and food she provided at so many Sports days over the years! She loved to watch her kids and grandchildren play ball, curl and other activities. Everyone at the Golden Prairie Curling Club waited with anticipation for Esther to bring her home-made soup. She loved to play cards; whist, canasta and gin rummy amongst her favorites. Her yard was filled with beautiful and aromatic flowers and plants. She felt such joy sharing her garden produce and delicacies. Esther was very committed to her church in Fox Valley and then Medicine Hat. She loved to contribute to the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League and their many activities! Who will ever forget the beautiful flowers she brought to church on Sunday mornings? The family wish to extend appreciation to her family physician, Dr. Ruzycki, who served her and Bruce for many years. Many thanks to the staff of Home Care who were so supportive, respectful and caring. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at the PATTISON FUNERAL HOME on Thursday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m.

. Please note that 10 people maximum at one time will be allowed in the building for viewing. Due to Covid-19, a private graveside service will take place at Hillside Cemetery.
