1922 ~ DOROTHY AGOSTINO ~ 2020

Dorothy Elizabeth Anne (Woolley) Agostino passed away peacefully at Good Samaritan in Medicine Hat, Alberta, on Saturday, July 18th, 2020. She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter Bonnie Hole McDonald (Hugh); her grand children, Deb Siwy, Tony (Rachelle) Hole, Marty (Lei) Hole; great-grand children, Kristin, Tiffany (Perry), Karlena (Justin), Tyler, Levi, Riley, Kaylei and Charlee;her great-great grandchildren, Pola, Brielle, Emma and Dax. Dorothy is finally reunited with the love of her life, Frank and her son, Ben. To quote her grandson, "She was an amazing woman on many levels. Tough as nails, a romantic, lover of music, a survivor from the horrors of a man’s actions. We loved her as our grandma. When we were kids – she spoiled the hell out of us! And…worked her ass off. She’s passed that down."
A private graveside service will be held at SAAMIS PRAIRIE VIEW CEMETERY. Ronald Frederick Coleman of Medicine Hat, beloved husband of Deanna Coleman, passed away on Monday, March 30th, 2020 at the age of 87 years. 1968 ~ CINDY ABERLE ~ 2020

Cindy May Aberle of Medicine Hat, beloved wife of Ross Aberle, passed away on Friday, July 17th, 2020 at the age of 52 years. Cindy leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Ross; her parents, David and Virginia McLachlan; children, Dallas Lansdown (Tory) and Daina (Mike) MacKenzie; grandchildren, Kholton and Miaha; sister, Kim (Tom) Wright; her numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins; as well her beloved puppy, Coco Bean. She was predeceased by her son, Cody Lansdown; brother, David McLachlan; and nephew, Ryan Kandall. She was an excellent cook, baker, and a very talented crafter; so much so that she often entered her work into craft fairs. She enjoyed horseback riding and she loved her horse. Cindy lived her life with grace and dignity, and she will be lovingly remembered and forever missed. BENNY (BEN) SAYLER

October 27, 1924 – July 18, 2020
Mr. Benny Sayler passed away into glory on Saturday, July 18th, 2020 at the age of 95 years! Left to remember him with love are his two daughters; Jacquie (Paul) Noerenberg of Hilda, and Jennifer (Rudy) Schinschick of Rockyview; two grandchildren, Mark Noerenberg and Juliette Noerenberg; and numerous nieces and nephews. Benny was predeceased by his loving wife Waltraud “Wally” (nee Kern) of 59 years; as well as his parents, Jacob H. and Katharina; his brothers, Rudolph 1, Rudolph 2, Oscar, Ernest, Ted; and sisters, Emma (Herrmann), Anna Sayler, Esther (Helm) and Martha (Emann). Benny was born on the family farm near Hilda. His family and his mixed farm operation were the greatest pleasures in his life. He remained active in farm activities until his mid 80’s. He was an extremely hard worker and even in his 90’s was known to say that he so wished he could still work on the farm. Ben faithfully attended the Hilda Baptist Church. He was also active in the Hilda Community Association. He fondly remembered running the reel to reel projection system at the Hilda Hall for movie nights as a young man. He also enjoyed curling, playing pool and cards, and going to the Medicine Hat Stampede and Rodeo every year. He continued to be interested in anything to do with nature and the environment, the oil and gas industry, green energy, farming, technology, and politics. Benny semi-retired in 1998 by moving into the town of Hilda. In 2011, he and Wally moved to South County Village in Medicine Hat where he lived until his passing. Ben was most grateful for the tireless prayer support of his family and friends. The family would like to thank the devoted care workers that became Ben’s extended family in his last days. The funeral service will be held at SAAMIS MEMORIAL FUNERAL CHAPEL, #1 Dunmore Road SE, in Medicine Hat at 1:30 pm on Wednesday, July 22nd, 2020 with Pastor Steve Driedger officiating. EVA THOME

May 20, 1928 ~ July 18, 2020

Mrs. Eva Thome, beloved wife of the late John Thome, passed away at the Riverview Care Centre in Medicine Hat on Saturday, July 18, 2020, at the age of 92 years. Eva was born on May 20, 1928, in Salem, Oregon, USA. In 1930, the family moved to the Rosenthal area (Prelate, SK). Eva married the love of her life, John Thome in Medicine Hat on March 14, 1949, at St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church. She loved dancing, bowling, playing cards, playing bingo and doing puzzles, but most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family. Eva loved to laugh with family and friends. Family reunions were a really big event for her as she rarely missed one. It was a chance to get together with all of her sisters and brothers. Eva will be forever remembered in the hearts of her sons, Perry (Debbie) and their children, Brandon (Tori) and their daughter, Andie, Brenna (Steve) and their son, Kingston, Tanya (Ryan); Clarence (Vicki) and their children, Cora-Lee (Darcy) and their children, Justin, Samantha and her daughter, Desiray, and Jason; Allan and his children, Sean and Jeffery as well as her brother-in-law, Mike (Rose) Thome; sisters-in-law, Val Hopkins and Emma Wolfe as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Eva was predeceased by her husband, John; parents, Emmanuel and Celestina Wolfe; four brothers, Chris, Slim, Jack and Danny and five sisters, Annie, Clemintine, Cecilia, Rose and Helen. The family would like to thank the staff at the Riverview Care Centre for the excellent love and care they have provided to Eva during her residence there. The Funeral Service will be celebrated at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel, 901 – 13 Street S.W., Medicine Hat on Thursday, July 23, 2020, at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery. Due to restrictions in place from the Chief Medical Officer of Health regarding COVID – 19, funeral services are now limited to no more than 100 attendees. As a courtesy, Eva’s service will be live streamed through the Cook Southland website.
