CAROL BETTY HALL

April 28, 1933 ~ May 1, 2020

It is with deep sadness that the family of Carol Betty Hall, announce the passing of their beloved mother. She passed away peacefully in her sleep at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital after a long struggle with her health on Friday, May 1, 2020, at the age of 87 years. The love of family will be carried on by her five children; Fred (Estelle), Pat, Wes (Gail) all of Medicine Hat, Daniel (Tom) of Calgary and Teresa (Dean) of Sylvan Lake along with numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and an extended family of relations and friends from every walk of life. Carol also has two brothers which she loved and thought the world of, Ralph and Gerry Rushworth. Carol is reunited in heaven with her husband, Grant Hall and parents, Charles and Helga Rushworth. Born April 28th, 1933 in Gull Lake, Saskatchewan, Carol grew up on a farm until they moved to Gull Lake in 1940. In 1953, she moved to Medicine Hat to study nursing and raise her family. She was the family caregiver, historian and champion. Carol helped manage the Medicine Hat Golf and Country Club Clubhouse and the Elkwater Golf Course Clubhouse. She enjoyed working with people and was a superior organizer and a great cook. Carol loved her little church, All Saint’s Anglican and was an active member of the ACW. She enjoyed going down to the Legion with Grant on Friday nights for the meat draw and to socialize with friends. The family would like to thank the staff at Meadowlands and Riverview Care Center as well as the nurses and doctors on 5 West for treating Carol with such dignity and care. Due to the uncertainty of recent health concerns, the family will hold a private interment and conduct a Celebration of Life at a future date. If friends so desire, memorial donations in Carol’s name may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Alberta, #201, 770 – 6 Street S.W., Medicine Hat, Alberta, T1A 4J6.
