ROSE GEIGER (nee WIST)

1926 ~ 2020

With deep sadness we announce the passing of Rose Geiger at St. Joseph’s Home – Carmel Hospice in Medicine Hat on Wednesday, February 5, 2020, at the age of 94 years. Left to cherish Rose’s memory are her children: Geraldine (John) Rajan, Bernadette Barker, Theresa (Orville) Haag, Thomas (Darlene) Geiger, Susan Clapper, Yvonne (Mike) Doyle and Lori (Larry) Bell. Also left to treasure her memory are her 18 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister, Lucy Rollheiser along with her sister-in-law, Mary Geiger as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Adam Geiger in June of 1987; her parents, Jacob Wist and Brigetta Wist (nee Kambeitz), brothers: Leon, Joseph, Daniel, Roy, Paul, George and sisters: Agatha, Mary, Katherine and Margaret.
Rose was born and raised in Liebenthal, SK. She married Adam Geiger in October of 1945 and after several moves, they settled in Prelate, SK. where she raised her children. She moved to Medicine Hat in 2010 to be closer to her children.
Rose dedicated her life to the raising of her family and working alongside her husband. She was an avid gardener and was always very proud of the vegetables she was able to share with everyone. She also enjoyed playing cards and watching curling.
She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Family and friends will gather for prayers at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel, 901 – 13 Street S.W., Medicine Hat on Monday, February 10, 2020, at 7:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Family Parish, 1451 Strachan Rd. S.E., Medicine Hat on Tuesday, February 11, 2020, at 10:30 a.m. with Reverend Father Vijaya Bathineni celebrant. Interment will take place at a later date at the Prelate Cemetery, Prelate, SK. 1935 ~ 2020
Mr. S. Keith Moore of Medicine Hat, beloved husband of the late Marlene Moore, passed away on Tuesday, February 4th, 2020 at the age of 84 years. Keith leaves to cherish his memory, daughters, Jo-Ann Palvialok of Edmonton, Patti-Ann Armstrong of Medicine Hat, Pamela Moore (Mike) of Edmonton; Marlene's daughter, Laura (Scott) Trebble and son, Richard (Alice) Froment all of Medicine Hat; nineteen grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; sister, Maxine Paydli; brothers, Kenneth Moore, Ronald (Linda) Moore, Donald (Val) Moore; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and great friends; his first wife, Suzanne Shaw; and Sulu the cat. Along with his wife Marlene, Keith was predeceased by his parents, Arthur and Esther Moore; brother, Calvin Moore; and great- grandson, Eric Palvialok. Cremation has taken place and at Keith’s request there will be no formal service. A private family graveside service will be held at a later date.
