1935 – SILVER – 2020

Clara Elsie Silver passed away on Thursday, January 23, 2020 at the age of 84 years, beloved wife of the late Emil Silver. She leaves to cherish her memory her children: Judy Silver (John Wall) of Calgary, Brian (Audrey) Silver of Medicine Hat, Karen (Julian) James of Ibiza, Spain, Brenda (Derek) Dillon of Calgary, and Wade (Lorna) Silver of Medicine Hat; seven grandchildren: Kelly (Trina) Silver, Cassie Silver, Sam Dillon, Emma (Cameron) Kahl, Grayson Silver, Avery Silver, and Lincoln Silver; her three great grandchildren: Ashton, Haylee and Addison along with numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Grace and George Copeland; her husband Emil on October 6, 1996; her brothers, Stanley, Leonard, Gordon, David, Alvin and one sister Bertha in infancy. Clara grew up on the farm and then became a hairdresser in Saskatoon before moving to Medicine Hat, where she met Emil. They were married on October 13, 1956, and raised their family in Medicine Hat. She worked as a hairdresser at St. Joseph’s Home until her youngest child went to school. Clara then began working as a Custodian for the Medicine Hat School District No.76. Once she retired, Clara enjoyed travelling extensively to many places such as Hawaii, Europe, Africa, India, Australia, New Zealand, and she also enjoyed cruising. Clara enjoyed her garden and especially enjoyed working with her children in the garden. Family and friends who wish to pay their respects may do so at the PATTISON FUNERAL HOME on Thursday, from 12:00 – 12:55 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the PATTISON CHAPEL on Thursday, January 30, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. DONALD KRAUSS

December 10, 1936 ~ January 25, 2020
It is with great sadness that the family of Donald Albert Edward Krauss, announce his passing on Saturday, January 25, 2020 at the age of 83 years. Donald will be forever cherished and lovingly remembered by his wife and best friend of 41 years, Fran; children, Tonia and Nels, Donavon (Patty), Melinda (Del) and James (Jody). Donald will also be fondly remembered by his grandchildren, Izzar, Ali, Michaela, Kelsie (Steven), Brittany (Darryl), Sarah, Emily, Jordan and Jessa; eight great-grandchildren; brother, Arthur (Pat) Kraus and sister-in-law, Iona Kraus. He was predeceased by a brother, Paul Kraus. A Celebration of Don’s life will be held at Victory Lutheran Church, 2793 Southview Drive S.E., Medicine Hat on Friday, January 31, 2020, at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Jim Bredeson officiating. Interment will take place in the family plot near Mazenod, Saskatchewan, in the spring of 2020. ILAINE FONTELLA MEADE

June 21, 1934 – January 23, 2020
With heavy hearts the family of Ilaine Meade (nee Tudor) announce her passing on January 23, 2020 at the age of 85 years.
She will be lovingly remembered by her children Curtis (Marion) Litle, Todd (Cindy) Meade, Sheri (Harvey) Schafer, and Cindy Meade (Howard Dodd). Grandchildren Nicole (Chris) du Randt, TJ (Angela) Litle, Stephanie Meade, Stewart Meade (Sarah Gauvin), Taylor (Dana) Meade, Aaron Schafer, Lindsay Schafer and Charlize Meade, Great grandchildren Christiaan & Gemma du Randt and Jase & Sophie Meade. Also left to mourn several nieces, nephews and friends.
Ilaine was born in Lethbridge, AB and grew up on the family farm near Wrentham, AB. She spent many years in Grande Prairie, AB before retiring to Medicine Hat. In the last couple of years she moved north again to High Level, AB. She was a kind and generous lady who was always adopting strays – whether it was kids, cats or dogs. Ilaine enjoyed many hobbies but her favorite by far was Bingo! She was usually "one away!" or "damn near!"
Ilaine was predeceased by her husband William (Bill) Meade, her daughter Christine in infancy, her parents Charles and Lydia Tudor, brothers Charles Jr Tudor and Lewis Tudor.
Honouring Ilaine's wishes, no formal funeral service will be held. The family has chosen to have a private celebration of life in the spring of 2020.


ROSEMARIE OBER

February 2, 1960 ~ January 24, 2020

It is with heavy hearts that we the family, announce the passing of Rosemarie Ober on Friday, January 24, 2020, in Medicine Hat, Alberta. She leaves behind the love of her life, Shawn Chisholm; son, Christopher (Dara); daughter, Jenni (Tyler); her beloved grandchildren, Preston, Nolan, Keira, Jayden and Grayson as well as Shawn’s daughters, Katie (Logan) and Laura (Joel) and their children Sophia, Jude, Iya and Luca. Rosie also leaves behind her mother, Joyce Metz; sisters, Janet (Ron) and Kate (Ken) as well as many nieces, nephews and a multitude of friends. She was greeted at the gates of Heaven, by her father, Joe Metz; sister, Jane Paul as well as her grandparents. Rosie was born in Shaunavon, Saskatchewan to Joe and Joyce Metz on February 2, 1960, the youngest of four girls. She attended school in Gull Lake, Saskatchewan and studied Business Administration at the Medicine Hat College. She worked for many different construction companies and always had her own business, as many of you know, because she probably did your taxes. Rosie lived to serve those around her and never rested until she was done. She lived life to the fullest and spent many hours with her children and grandchildren. Rosie travelled extensively and took every opportunity to try new things. She loved Scouts Canada and enjoyed camping, curling, golfing and playing cards. Rose’s family would like to thank the doctors and nurses in the Margery E. Yuill Cancer Centre as well as the medical staff at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital for the outstanding care for Rosie. A Celebration of Rosie’s life will be held at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel, 901 – 13 Street S.W., Medicine Hat on February 8, 2020, at 2:00 p.m. with Life Celebrant Gerry Getz officiating. TESSMAN

Arthur Edmund Tessman passed away on Wednesday, January 22, 2020, at the age of 86 years, beloved husband of the late Alma Tessman. He leaves to cherish his memory his children; Denis (Bev) Tessmann, Annie (Roger) Benoit all of Medicine Hat, Gordon (Leann) Tessmann of Seven Persons, Gerry (Pam) Tessman, and Dave (Darlene) Tessman all of Medicine Hat; nine grandchildren, nine great grandchildren; his brothers Alfred (Karin) Tessman and Karl (Helen) Tessman; three sisters-in-law, Dianne Tessman, Evelyn Tessman, and Ella Tessman along with numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Edmund and Emma Tessmann, his wife Alma on January 29, 2006; his brothers, Otto and Helmut in infancy, Reinhard, Adolf and Erich one sister Ida-Emma; one sister-in-law Ilene Tessman. Arthur’s family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the staff at Masterpiece for the wonderful care they have given to Art in the last few years of his life.
