Elmer Mayer of Medicine Hat, beloved husband of Gladys Mayer, passed away on Saturday, October 12th, 2019 at the age of 85 years. He leaves to cherish his memory his children, Shelley (Thomas) Rennie, Karen (Donald) Biccum), and Keith (Beverlee) Mayer; grandchildren, Matthrew (Jordan) Rennie, Amanda (Tyler) Risling, Alisha (Justin) Murray, Kyle Chesal, and Jessica Mayer; great-grandchildren, Alexandra, Tianna, Lydia, Austin, and Abigail; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. 1934 ~ FERN PARTINGTON

MUIRHEAD ~ 2019
Fern Partington Muirhead passed away on Sunday, October 13th, 2019 at the age of 85 years. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, John Charles Muirhead; children, Deb (Bryan) Kolb of Fernie, BC; grandchildren, Seana and Graeme Lees, Kostie, Pamela, Andrew, and Matthew Muirhead, great-grandchildren, Khloe and Felix Lees, Jackson and Lincoln Fisher, and Ceilidh Muirhead; sister, Cheryl (Michael) Whitehead of Ludington, Michigan; and numerous nieces and nephews. Fern was predeceased by her parents; and sons, Murray John in 1978 and Eric Andrew in 2012.
Fern was born on January 4th, 1934, in MacGregor, Manitoba, the eldest daughter of Ken and Eva (Mawson) Gorrie. She grew up in several Manitoba towns before she and John were married in Camrose, AB on September 11th, 1952; shortly afterwards moving to Ottawa where Deb and Murray were born. The family relocated to Ralston in 1957; Eric was born in Medicine Hat in 1960 and then, in 1963, the family moved to Medicine Hat which has been home ever since. Fern taught accounting and related subjects, as well as English, for several years at Garbutt Business College. This was very a very enjoyable time in Fern’s life. Fern lived a full and interesting life with a variety of interests, activities, and hobbies as she and John watched their family grow and mature. Over the years these activities included family camping trips, and visits; choir singing, Brownie Leader, politics and elections, needlework of all kinds, church activities, and genealogy and family history. A curling career, begun in high school in Manitoba and ending in her Senior years, included many seasons of bonspiels and competitions, with lasting friendships made. Fern considered herself most fortunate to have participated in Canadian Curling Finals – ladies in 1969, and Sr. ladies in 1985 and 198, earning All-Star Second Medal. She received the Medicine Hat Female Athlete Medal in 1988. In 1982, Fern and John moved to a country residence South of Dunmore, Alberta to enjoy some hobby farming during their retirement years. DICKINSON

Ryan Edward Dickinson passed away on Monday, October 7, 2019, at the age of 41 years, beloved husband of Candace Dickinson of Medicine Hat. He also leaves to cherish his memory four children Taylor Iftiniuk, Kaidin Iftiniuk, Shinesta Bergeron and Kolbie Dickinson; his parents, Angela Dickinson (Gordon Unser) and David (Shawna) Dickinson; his grandmother Renie Dickinson; one brother Kelly (Jamie) Dickinson; one sister, Jacki-Lynn (Jesse) Dickinson-Murphy; Candace’s family: her twin sister Amanda Witts; her stepmother Pam Pickard (Kellen Wickenheiser) and stepsister Tyra Wickenheiser, along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and his many friends. He was predeceased by his father-in-law Wayne Pickard; his grandparents Walter and Phyllis Degenstein and Ted Dickinson; two uncles Peter Kopp and Trevor Dickinson along with one aunt Katie Nelson. His dream job was to be an owner-operator of his own semi. He loved his job and the challenges it brought, as well as the people he met along the way. It is with great sadness and sorrow that we, the family of Jody Ann Wenaas (nee Waddell), announce her passing after a courageous battle with cancer. Jody was born on April 7, 1965, in Lethbridge, AB., and passed away in Medicine Hat on Thursday, October 10, 2019, at the age of 54 years. Along with her beloved husband, Bruce, left to cherish Jody’s memory are her parents, Jim (Bev) Waddell; daughter, Ashley (Blaire); son, Connor; two grandchildren, Brayden and Arya; brother, Robbie (Della); nephew, Jason as well as her niece, Kymberly. Garry Valentine Sehn (71) and Rita Rose Sehn (68), our beloved parents, both from Medicine Hat, passed away suddenly on October 11th, 2019. Garry and Rita were predeceased by Garry's parents, Exi & Elizabeth (Deis) Sehn and by Rita's parents, Joe & Rosa (Steckler) Tuchscherer. They were also predeceased by their cherished daughter, Stephanie Chisholm (Jerimy) as well as Rita's sister, Cathy Harty (Chris) and brother, Donald Tuchscherer (Irene). Garry and Rita are survived by their children, Shauna Moss (Dave) and Chandra Sehn (Brent Carefoot) as well as their grandchildren Carter Moss, Wil Carefoot, and Jacey Carefoot. They are also survived by Garry's siblings, Sr. Dianne Sehn, Yvonne Vickers, Lucille Slade, and Joanne (Sheldon) Marks as well as Rita's siblings, Marie Bachmeier (Ed) and Michael Tuchscherer (Joanne).
