1941 ~ VERN JACKEL~ 2019

Mr. Laverne Clifford Jackel, beloved husband of Elizabeth ‘Betty’ Jackel, passed away at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital on Saturday, September 21, 2019, at the age of 78 years. Along with Betty, left to cherish Vern’s memory are his children, Shelley, Michael, Sharon and Mark as well as numerous grandchildren, great- grandchildren and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents, John and Elizabeth; brother, Richard and his stepson, Steven Munro. 1990 ~ 2019
With our deepest sorrow, we announce the sudden passing of our dear daughter, Ashley Dawn Bitz on Thursday, September 19, 2019, at the young age of 28 years. Ashley will be extremely missed by her parents, Randy and Donna Bitz; her siblings, Colin (Jen), Jordan (Sasha) and Alyssa (Sean); her beloved children, Dallas (7yrs), Drayden (5yrs) and Abigail (3yrs); grandmother, Joyce Renshaw as well as her aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. She was predeceased by her grandmother, Darlene Carlson; grandfathers, Duane Carlson and Gus Bitz and her fiancé, Trevor Tremblay. Ashley was born October 12, 1990 in Medicine Hat where she spent the majority of her life. Ashley’s biggest love was for her children and family. She loved to laugh, joke around and help others. She made many friends over the years and she will be forever loved and missed by all! Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel, 901 – 13 Street S.W., Medicine Hat on Wednesday, September 25, 2019, from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A Celebration of Ashley’s life will be held at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel on Thursday, September 26, 2019, at 1:00 p.m. with Life Celebrant Gerry Getz officiating.
