1977 ~ THERESA RATZ ~ 2019

Theresa Marie Pearl Ratz of Medicine Hat passed away on Saturday, May 25th, 2019 at the age of 42 years. Theresa leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Kylie Ratz; her parents, Russell and Vanessa Ratz; one brother, Russell Ratz; and two nephews, Cole and Edin. Theresa was predeceased by her uncle, Leslie Ratz. The Funeral Service will be held at RIVER VALLEY COMMUNITY CHURCH, 1101 Queen Street SE, on Tuesday, June 4th, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Larry Enslen officiating. Hildegarde “Hilde” Bertsch of Medicine Hat, passed away on Wednesday, May 29, 2019, at the age of 87 years, beloved wife of the late Andrew Bertsch. She leaves to cherish her memory five children, Maureen Bertsch of Calgary, Judy Bertsch, Cheryl (Gordon) Baumback all of Medicine Hat, Rob Bertsch (Cindy Kadler) of Regina Beach and Randy Bertsch (Joan Block ) of Penticton; six grandchildren, Lara Bertsch (Kim Mazyn), Morgan Bertsch (Jeremy Green), Kahla Bertsch, Shai (Cam) Glock, Micheal Bertsch and Mathew Bertsch; two great grandchildren, Sullivan Glock and Julian Mazyn; one brother Jim (Dianne) Wickenheiser and one sister Monica Wickenheiser. She was predeceased by her husband Andrew on February 12, 1989, and by her parents Grace and Michael Wickenheiser and thirteen siblings. Family and friends who wish to pay their respects may do so at the church on Monday, from 12:30 – 1:25 p.m. The funeral mass will be celebrated in the Holy Family Parish on Monday, June 3, 2019 at 1:30 p.m. with Father Iqbal Khurshid celebrant. It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Deborah Anne Bitz. She was born on August 25, 1956 in Medicine Hat and passed away at Sunnyside Care Centre on Sunday, May 26, 2019 at the age of 62 years. Debbie was predeceased by her parents Philip and Alice Bitz. She is survived by numerous cousins and friends and will be dearly missed by all. Debbie loved reading, playing cards and travelling. She worked as a telephone operator which she loved and ended her career in the oilfield industry. She will be most remembered for her ready smile, cheerful attitude and kindness to everyone she met. Peter John Koritnik of Medicine Hat, passed away on Saturday, May 25, 2019, at the age of 89 years, beloved husband of the late Evelyn Koritnik. He leaves to cherish his memory his daughter Dr. Angela Koritnik, granddaughter Jana Dickinson, grandson Ryan Dickinson (Jasmine), and a great grandson Henry all of Ottawa; one son Dr. Zeljko Koritnik (Sanja), granddaughter Tijana of Sremska Mitrovica, of Republic of Serbia; two sisters Marica and Slavica both of Croatia; sister-in-law Jean Muir of Calgary and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Evelyn on October 27, 2018 and by his parents Katrina and Anton Koritnik. According to late Peter’s wishes there will be no funeral service. Cremation has been held.
