Helen “Sylvia” Doonan (nee Matson) of Medicine Hat, beloved wife of the late Albert “Bert” Doonan, passed away at the Riverview Care Centre on Friday, February 22nd, 2019 at the age of 84 years. It is with heavy hearts that the family of Albert Ibach, beloved husband of Gwen, announce his passing at Southlands Masterpiece in Medicine Hat, AB on Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at the age of 80 years. Albert is survived by his loving wife, Gwen Ibach; son, Michael (Krista) Ibach; daughters, Cheryl McLeod (Blaine), Patricia Ibach, Joelene (Len) Blackman, Leanne (Conlie) Wilk, Carla (Graham) Brigden; 10 sisters; 5 brothers; 11 grandchildren; 2 great-grandsons; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, John and Margaret Ibach; Gwen’s parents, Harry and Ida Gill; sister, Alma Ibach; and niece, Michelle Bachmeier. Albert was born and raised on the family farm in Fox Valley, SK. He was a man of many trades which included oilfield employment, small business ventures, electrical work, and working in the greenhouse. Everyone that knew Albert would understand his very unique personality. Albert’s greatest pride and joy were his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at SAAMIS MEMORIAL FUNERAL CHAPEL, 1 Dunmore Road SE, on Monday from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. and at ST. PATRICK'S ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH, 238 – 2nd Avenue NE on Tuesday from 9:30 until 10:25 a.m. Vigil Rites (Prayers) will be held at SAAMIS MEMORIAL FUNERAL CHAPEL on Monday, March 4th, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at ST. Douglas “Doug” Norman Benson passed away on Saturday, February 23, 2019, at the age of 68 years, beloved husband of Debra Benson of Medicine Hat. He also leaves to cherish his memory their daughter Michelle Benson and her children, Shandler and Larkin; one brother Bill (Margaret) Benson; two sisters, Joanne Benson and Maureen (Derek) Jamieson as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Margaret and Ernest Benson. A celebration of Doug’s life will take place at a later date. MORGAN

Michael Morgan, passed away on December 9th, 2018 in Blairmore, Alberta at the age of 67. Mike is survived by his children Shaelen Morgan and Michelle (Chris) Whaling, along with his son-in-law Keith Parkinson. Mike left behind 6 grandchildren, Jade, Liam, Marley, Charlie, Alfie and Andie. He is also survived by his mother Mikki, predeceased by his father Alan and sister Debbie Kovacs. Mike was born on July 15th, 1951 in Kelowna, British Columbia and remained in British Columbia for several years before moving to Medicine Hat, Alberta, where he raised his family and worked for AGT/Telus for over 20 years. After retirement he made Blairmore, Alberta, his final home. Mike loved the outdoors and enjoyed backpacking, camping, fishing and quadding. In the last decade he took to travelling all over the world and immersing himself in the various local cultures and meeting new people. He always had an amazing ability to go solo on an adventure and come home with many new friends, who he kept in contact with on a regular basis. Mike enjoyed politics and had a great interest in humanitarian efforts globally. A celebration of life will take place late August in BC.
