Anna Marie (Getz) Becker of Medicine Hat passed away on Saturday, September 22, 2018, at the age of 84 years, she leaves us to reunite with her late husband Lloyd and her daughter Tammy Koi. Anna leaves to cherish her memory her children, Wayne (Lorna) Becker, Karen (Cliff) Janzer, Ryan (Lana) Becker, Bev (Tim) Sehn, Susan (Blaine) Walburger; son-in-law Bruce Koi; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; two sisters, Martha Hegg and Frances Anderson and special friend Ed Pryce. She was also predeceased by her parents, Anton and Eva Getz; four brothers, Nick, Chris, Anthony, Valentine; two sisters, Eva and Barbara. Growing up our house was always full of family and friends, the coffee pot was always on. As us kids grew older, mom and dad never knew who they would find sleeping on the floor or couches, as we always seemed to bring cousins and friends home with us. Even when we left home, friends continued to stop by for coffee and mom’s baking or they would just honked their horn when they drove by. As per Mom’s request there will be no formal funeral. A private family service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations can be made to Carmel Hospice (St. Joseph’s Home) c/o 156 – 3 St. NE, Medicine Hat, T1A 5M1.
