1979 ~ DARRELL GILL ~ 2018 Darrell “Dirty” Arthur Carlyle Gill of Empress, beloved son of Art and Dora Gill, passed away on Friday, August 17th, 2018 at the age of 39 years. Darrell also leaves to cherish his memory one brother, Randy (Charlotte) Gill; two sisters, Laurie Patterson (fiancé, Kevin Rosenbargo) and JoAnna Gill; his grandmother, Elnora Gill; his godson, William Patterson; and numerous nieces and nephews. Darrell was predeceased by his grandfather, William “Carl” Gill; his grandparents, William and Antoinette Martell; his uncle, Douglas Martell; and his cousin, Colleen Lohr. Darrell loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He also enjoyed golfing, curling, camping and playing the Xbox. Above all else, Darrell loved his family, especially his nieces and nephews and the company of his friends. He will be missed dearly, and his memory cherished forever. PENNY HOTEL 1957 ~ 2018
It is with profound sadness that we, the family of Penny Marlene Hotel, beloved wife of Bill Hotel, announce her passing in Medicine Hat on Friday August 17, 2018, at the age of 61 years. She was born in Nelson, B.C. to Bud and Faye Cunningham and was married to Bill T. Hotel for just shy of 43 years. Penny will be lovingly remembered in the hearts of her husband, Bill; children, Ashley (Corey), Clayton and his daughter, Makayla, Chad (Justina) and their children, Colby and Tetlee; sisters, Deb (Larry), Gail (Roy) as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents and one brother. RONALD DOUGLAS 1946 ~ 2018
Ronald James Douglas went to be with his Lord on Saturday, August 18, 2018, at the age of 72 years, beloved by all who knew this sweet and kind man. Ron was born in Victoria, B.C., July 26, 1946, and resided in Redcliff for his final six years of life. He lived a full life that included bronc riding in his 20’s, owning his own trucking company RDJ Incorporated, and the latter allowed him to travel extensively throughout Canada and the USA. Ron always had a smile and a story to share with anyone willing to listen. He will be dearly missed by his family: Randy and Karen Pattemore; beloved sisters, Barbara and Doreen; nieces, nephews, and many friends. Ron will be silently remembered without the proceedings of a formal funeral service as per his direction.
