1938 ~ ALVIN BESPLUG ~ 2018

Mr. Alvin Besplug of Medicine Hat passed away on Thursday, May 24th, 2018 at the age of 80 years. Alvin leaves to cherish his memory two sons, Brent (Monika), and Scott (Cathy); three grandchildren, Matthew (Chelsey), Carley (Jeremy), and Dylan (Kaytlyn); as well as numerous great grandchildren. Alvin was predeceased by one son, Warren; as well as his parents, Anton and Mary. There will be no formal service for Alvin. Gladys Edith (Sheward) Anderson, beloved wife of the late Eric Anderson, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 18th, 2018 surrounded by family and friends at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital. LYNN PAZIUK

1952 ~ 2018
Mr. Lynn Paziuk, beloved resident of the Alfred Egan Home in Bow Island, passed away in his home on Tuesday, May 15, 2018, at the age of 66 years with caring Alfred Egan Home staff at his side. Lynn is survived by four brothers and their families, Percy, Wayne, Roy and twin brother, Elo. He was predeceased by his parents, Bill and Elsie Paziuk. Lynn was born on February 5, 1952, in Two Hills, Alberta. He lived at home until being admitted to Michener Centre in Red Deer, AB., in May of 1958. Lynn moved to Bow Island in February of 2014, where he has resided ever since. He was a quiet, unassuming man who may not have spoken verbally but spoke volumes through his eyes. Lynn was jolly with a smile that would light up the room and he had a wonderful, contagious laugh. He was gentle, patient and loved to hold hands or be teased by those he knew well. Lynn will be missed by his friends and staff at the Alfred Egan Home. A Celebration of Lynn’s life will be held at the Alfred Egan Home, 1 Street East in Bow Island on Tuesday, May 29, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. with Life Celebrant Gerry Getz officiating. WILLIAM DENNIS BUTTERWICK

1931 ~ 2018
William D (Bill) Butterwick of Foremost, Alberta, passed away peacefully at the Chinook Regional Hospital on May 21, 2018 at the age of 86.
Bill is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Delores and two sons Dan (Donna) and Randy (Norma); daughter-in-law Cynthia; 8 grandchildren; 13 great- grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren; sisters-in-law Myrna (Bob) Kuhl, Vivian Butterwick; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents; his son Bev; and a daughter-in-law Sam; sister Nora and husband Bill Ferris; and brothers George and wife Alice, and Bernard; step-sister Bernice Riley; and step-brother Jerry Cooke and nephew Darrel Kuhl.
Bill was born in Nemiskam, Alberta on June 4th, 1931 to Ashley and Jeanette Butterwick. He attended grade school in Nemiskam and high-school in Foremost and upon graduation in 1949 he married his high-school sweetheart Delores and settled down in Nemiskam. They moved to the Manyberries area when Bill accepted a job with Montana Power in 1951 and to Foremost in 1983. He started working on the drilling rigs during his high school years part-time and had a long and distinguished career in the energy industry.
Bill will be remembered for his love for his family, friends and his community.
A Celebration of Bill’s Life will be held at 2:30pm on Monday, May 28, 2018 at the FOREMOST COMMUNITY HALL, 802 1 Ave. W., Foremost, AB.
