1922 ~ MARIE SCHUETZLE ~ 2017

Marie Schuetzle of Medicine Hat, beloved wife of the late Fred Schuetzle, passed away on Wednesday, December 13th, 2017 at the age of 95 years. Marie was also predeceased by her son, Wallace. Marie leaves to cherish her memory her daughter-in-law, Sheila; two grandchildren, Laurie (Chris) and Curtis (Sheila); and one great-grandson, Taren. 1931 ~ LOIS STOCKDALE ~ 2017

With sadness, we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend Lois Jean Stockdale (nee Martin) on Tuesday, December 12th, 2017 in Medicine Hat, Alberta. Lois was predeceased by her son, Bill; and sister, Esther Maclean. She will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Martin, and Tony; daughters-in-law, Kathy, Marg, and Kandy; grandchildren, Krista, Lindsey, Lisa, Paul, Rogan and Tyana; and great granddaughter, Eleanor.
Lois grew up on a small farm near Ponoka, Alberta. She inherited her mother’s love for playing the piano, enjoyed many Hawaiian vacations, and photography. She spent many years as a high-level administrator in the Alberta Ministry of Health, where her organizational skills were greatly appreciated. She was very involved in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, where she developed life-long friendships. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER DAY SAINTS, 7 Sierra Boulevard SW, on Saturday from 10:00 until 10:55 a.m. The Funeral Service will be held at THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER DAY SAINTS on Saturday, December 16th, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. with Bishop J. 1938 ~ DON MACK ~ 2017

James Donald “Don” Mack of Medicine Hat, beloved husband of Margaret Hudak, passed away on Tuesday, December 12th, 2017 at the age of 79 years. Don also leaves to cherish his memory two daughters, Heather (Andrew) Peacock and Jacqueline (Pearson) Farnsworth; four grandchildren, Erin, Sydney and Jamie Peacock, and Zach Farnsworth; one brother, Raymond (Francis) Mack; five sisters, Hannah Fichter, Evelyn McClement, Rosalia (Vernon) McClement, Marion Mack and Angeline Choma; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Don was predeceased by his first wife, Josephine “Jo” in 2000; his parents, Vincent and Katherine Mack; and one brother, Ralph Mack. Don was born in Estevan, Saskatchewan on April 18th, 1938. He married Josephine Gedak in 1963 and worked in the oil and gas industry in Saskatchewan until 1974 when he moved to Medicine Hat. Don raised his family in Medicine Hat and made many lifelong friends here. In 2002, he married Margaret Hudak (her family Pam, Sandy and Greg). Upon retirement, he joined an antique car club where he made a lot of special friends. Don always enjoyed visiting and talking with people and made friends everywhere he went. A special thank you to the caring staff at Margery E. Yuill Cancer Centre, Palliative Care, and Home Care. Vigil Rites (Prayers) will be said at SAAMIS MEMORIAL FUNERAL CHAPEL, #1 Dunmore Road SE, on Tuesday, December 19th, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at HOLY FAMILY PARISH, 1451 Strachan Road SE, on Wednesday, December 20th, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. with Father Albert Sayson, Celebrant. HILARY GERARD GUEST

July 3, 1930 – December 8, 2017
Hilary Gerard Guest of Medicine Hat, passed away on Friday, December 8, 2017 at the age of 87 years. Hilary was born July 3,1930 in Holmesville, New Brunswick. He was the son of the late John Francis Guest and Annie Guest (Brennan). He was predeceased by his wife, Catherine (Bunny) Guest and brothers Paul, Joseph and James Guest.
Hilary loved the simple things in life. He was a proud member of the Knights of Columbus and the local bridge club. His first love was for family and friends and his second greatest passion would have to be cards – any game any time! And of course he always enjoyed getting a laugh with a silly remark. Hilary will be greatly missed by his five children, John Guest (Brenda), Doug Guest, Patrick Guest (Kathy), Peter Guest (Michelle), Thomas Guest (Crystal); 11 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren; his sister Margret Sinski, many relatives, his dear friends the Petke family and the Rose family and many other friends. Family and friends who wish to pay their respects may do so at the PATTISON FUNERAL HOME on Friday evening, December 15, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. and at the church on Saturday, December 16, from 10:00 to 10:55 a.m. The funeral mass for Hilary will be celebrated in Holy Family Parish (1451 Strachan Road SE) on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. There will be a Knights of Columbus honour guard, and the mass will be followed by a light lunch at the church. NICK MUDRACK

1927 ~ 2017
It is with sadness that the family announce the passing of Nick Mudrack, beloved husband of Dell Mudrack, at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital on Tuesday, December 12, 2017, at the age of 90 years. Nick leaves to cherrish his memory four sons, David (Stephanie), Dennis, James, Tom (Robyn); eight, grandchildren, Joshua, Jordan, Damon, Joel, Jaymi, Zoe, Rain and Aubri. He was predeceased by his parents, Charles and Leontina Mudrack; daughter, Susan; sister, Anne.; step-brothers, John, Jack, Mike, Sylvester, James, George, Jim; step-sisters, Marjorie, Jean, Elsie and Vera. Nick was born in Boulton, Manitoba on March 6, 1927, leaving home at an early age to explore the big city. He was employeed in various capacities but mostly in retail sales serving the good public of this land. In memory of Nick, just be nice to somebody every day.

Philip Volk of Medicine Hat passed away on Tuesday, December 12, 2017, at the age of 83 years, beloved husband of the late Hilda Volk. He leaves to cherish his memory his children, Vernice Rissling, Robert (Doris) Volk, all of Medicine Hat, Debra Coakes (Randy Goldie) of Calgary, Rodney “Butch” Volk, (Dawn O’Connor), Marla (Tom) Bonogofski and Kenneth Volk all of Medicine Hat; fifteen grandchildren and twenty one great grandchildren; his brothers Peter Volk and Alex Volk, his sisters; Frances Maser and Jean Halpen, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents John and Catherina Volk, his wife, Hilda Volk on October 22, 1990, and seven brothers and sisters.
