Robert Stewart Tudor, beloved husband of Linda Tudor of Medicine Hat, passed away on Monday, May 29th, 2017 at the age of 70 years. BECKER

Earl Erwin Becker, beloved husband of the late Alice Becker passed away on Friday, May 26, 2017, at the age of 88 years. Earl was the best dad, grampa and great grampa. He leaves to cherish his memory his only daughter, Bonnie (Bruce) Weiss of Medicine Hat; two granddaughters, Berri-Sue Weiss (Jon Bolton) and Brandi (Curtis) Benedict; six great grandchildren, Cyanna, Ella, Luna, and Jocelyn Bolton, and Jada and William Benedict; one brother, Raymond (Alma) Becker; two sisters, Ruth Ford and Adeline Mogck; one brother-in-law, Norm Derheim; six sisters-in-law, Anna Becker, Alice Becker, Verna Bawtinheimer, Isobel (Harvey) Freimark, Diane Krauss and Barb Schorr; Earls very devoted friend June Weirsma as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Alice in 2007; his parents, Robert and Lindina Becker; two brothers, Lloyd and Harvey; one sister, Jean Derheim; his in-laws, John and Mary Schorr and brothers-in-law, Josh Ford, Charles Mogck, Joe Schorr, Ken Krause and Fred Stickel. Dad was a farmer, a builder, a gardener, an architect, a caregiver and a fisherman. He was always there for his daughter and her family. He was a devoted husband and loving dad, a fantastic grandparent and uncle, a wonderful brother and a loyal friend. We will miss your whistling and your sunny disposition. Family and friends who wish to pay their respects may do so at the PATTISON FUNERAL HOME on Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. or on Wednesday from 1:30 p.m. to 2:25 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the PATTISON CHAPEL on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at 2:30 p.m. with Life Celebrant, David Townsend. Interment will follow in the Hillside Cemetery. Stephen “Steve” Dietrich passed away on Sunday, May 28, 2017, at the age of 92 years, beloved husband of Anna Dietrich of Medicine Hat. GERALD GEORGE WESTCOTT

It is with deepest sorrow we announce the passing of Gerald “Gerry” George Westcott on Sunday, May 28th, 2017 in the Palliative Care Unit of the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital at 78 years of age. Beloved husband of Carole; father of Douglas (sons, Clifford and Sam), Donald and Craig (and family). He is also survived by his sister, Gwen (Ray) Westcott of Lanigan, Saskatchewan; his brother, Allen (Karen) Kolman of Whitewood, Saskatchewan; brother-in-law, Wayne Maki of Granum, Alberta; along with numerous nieces and nephews. Gerry was predeceased by his father, Clifford; his mother, Dorothy; sister, Mona; step-father, Wellington Kolman; his grandparents, Edward and Christina Westcott and Walter and Mathilda Turner; as well as mother and father-in-law, Don and Signe Maki. Gerry was born on July 11th, 1938 in Whitewood, Saskatchewan. He attended McKay and Whitewood schools. On June 11th, 1960, he married his high school sweetheart, Carole Maki. Gerry was a hard worker; he began in the oil patch in Estevan, Saskatchewan, drove long haul truck, worked with the Department of Highways, operated a grocery store and butcher shop. The family moved to Lynn Lake, Manitoba in 1969 where he worked in the mine. In 1975, the family came to Medicine Hat, where Gerry worked as a millwright at the chemical plants. His last employment was with the Department of National Defence where he drove bus until he was forced to retire due to illness. At this time he began a long and arduous battle with Crohn’s disease. His determination and stubbornness were truly amazing. He enjoyed fishing, golf and hunting.

At Gerald’s request, there will be no formal funeral at this time. Interment of cremated remains will follow at a later date in the family plot in Whitewood, Saskatchewan. Floral tributes are graciously declined, instead donations to the Palliative Care Unit of the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital, c/o Medicine Hat and District Health Foundation, 666 – 5th Street SW, Medicine Hat, Alberta, T1A 4H6 or a charity of one’s choice will be appreciated.
