1937 ~ STACH ~ 2016

Philip "Phil" Henry Stach, beloved husband of Jeanette Stach of Medicine Hat, passed away on Saturday, June 4th, 2016 at the age of 78 years. Phil also leaves to cherish his memory his children, Maureen (David) Chauvet of Red Deer, Mark (Belinda) Stach of Calgary, and Sherry (Warren) Malinowski of Medicine Hat; eight grandchildren, Tara Stach, Alyse Stach, Konrad Stach, Mikhail Chauvet, Zachary Chauvet, Elijah Chauvet, Michael Malinowski (Calli), and Christie Malinowski; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Phil was predeceased by his parents, Emanual and Elisabeth Stach; four brothers; and six sisters. Phil was a well loved, dynamic man who took pride in his family and many friends. He loved the Lord in his own special way. Phil was passionate about everything that was important to him and never loved part way. He cared about everything and anyone that touched his life, and always took the time to talk to the people he met….whether he knew them or not, whether they were 2 or 99. He could turn a 5-minute encounter into a life-long friendship. His infectious smile and twinkling green eyes opened doors to countless happy experiences. Phil's competitive, determined spirit and spark carried through in hockey, golf, bowling, and cards. He was taken from us too soon! Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at SAAMIS MEMORIAL FUNERAL CHAPEL, #1 Dunmore Road SE, on Saturday from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held at RIVER VALLEY COMMUNITY CHURCH, 1101 Queen Street SE, on Sunday, June 12th, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Mark Borrows officiating. 1938 ~ HALAK ~ 2016

Bernice Adaline Halak of Medicine Hat, passed away on Saturday, June 4th, 2016 at the age of 77 years. Bernice leaves to cherish her memory one brother, Terry (Susan) Halak; one niece, Leslie Halak; one nephew, Michael Halak; and her close cousin, Vicki Kopp. Bernice was predeceased by her parents, Peter and Adaline Halak. Bernice was born in Medicine Hat on October 17th, 1938. She was a lifetime member of the Order of the Royal Purple and a member of the Red Hat Ladies. Bernice worked at the Medicine Hat General Hospital and enjoyed crafts and crochet. October 27, 1970 ~ June 4, 2016

Gone from this Earth I go to my Mother’s warm embrace

It is with great sadness that the family announce the sudden passing of Jeffrey George Fraser on Saturday, June 4, 2016, at the age of 45 years. Jeff was born in Moncton, NB and was raised in Redcliff, AB. Jeff’s many loves included hockey, which he played as a boy and enjoyed even more as he watched both of his children grow up playing and excelling at the sport as well. Jeff loved music of all kinds, sharing that interest with his children, as he attended many concerts with them all over Alberta. A true outdoorsman, Jeff’s greatest passions were hunting and fishing and the numerous family camping trips made over the years. Among the most treasured of these trips, were the many hunting expeditions that he took to Aunt Nancy and Uncle Harv’s farm with his dad, his son and his beloved dog, Shylo who never left Jeff’s side for 12 years. Jeff’s passion for the outdoors spread to his children and they enjoyed countless day trips with their dad to the local lakes to see who could catch the most fish. Jeff was a fun-loving and unselfish person who was known to help anyone without question. Jeff will be lovingly remembered by his daughter, Stephanie “Pookie Girl” Fraser; son, Kyle “Danions” Fraser; their mother, Nicole Schmaltz; father, Randy Fraser; sister, Jennifer Davidson; nephew, Eric Davidson; niece, Jessica Davidson as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Jeff was predeceased by his mother, Glenna Fraser. A Celebration of Life BBQ will be held at the family residence located at 438 – 3 Street S.E., Redcliff, Alberta on Sunday, June 12, 2016, from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. A private interment will be held at Redcliff Cemetery. KIRSCHENMAN

Fred Kirschenman of Medicine Hat, passed away on Tuesday, June 7, 2016, at the age of 94 years. He was predeceased by his first wife Erna and by his second wife Johanna . He leaves to cherish his memory one son Brian and Betty Kirschenman; one grandson Andrew and Sarah (their daughter Elinor); and four sisters-in-law, Elsie, Ida, Louise and Belinda. Fred was also predeceased by his parents Jacob and Katherina (Hofer) Kirschenman; two brothers Louis (Vi) and Jacob, and three sisters, Kay (Ray) Becker, Martha (Chuck) Glock and Pauline Kirschenman. Fred was born on July 15, 1921, in the village of Neudorf, Russia (now Karamanova, Moldova). He still had childhood memories of living in Russia. His family fled Russia in late 1928, arriving in Canada in January of 1929 and eventually settling in the Sandy Point, Alberta area, near Burstall, Saskatchewan. He married Erna Neibauer on February 14, 1948, and Brian was born in 1952. In the fall of 1952, Fred purchased a farm northwest of Hilda, Alberta. His wife, Erna, passed away in May of 1954. Fred married Johanna Mack on December 31, 1955, and in 1977, they moved to Medicine Hat. Fred continued to farm until he was 84 but maintained a keen interest in what was happening on the farm right up until his passing. At one point, he and his two brothers had three identical Oliver “88” tractors. Fred was the last surviving founding member of the B.T.Grazing Coop Ltd. (founded in 1952) and served as Secretary/Treasurer for several years. He was a member of Hilda Baptist Church and later, Temple Baptist Church in Medicine Hat and served in various capacities in both churches. He had a keen sense of humour and always “got it”. He loved playing games, especially Rook. He was a meat, potatoes and dough kind of man. When Johanna passed away, he stated, “I’m done with green food!” He is, and always will be, dearly missed by his family and friends but we rest assured that he met his God with peace in his soul. Family and friends who wish to pay their respects may do so at the PATTISON FUNERAL HOME on Sunday evening only from 6:00 8:00 p.m. Prior to the chapel service, interment will take place at Hillside Cemetery at 1:10 p.m. Those who wish to attend the graveside service are asked to meet inside the main gate to the cemetery by 1:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the PATTISON CHAPEL on Monday, June 13, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Tom Anderst officiating. NOBLE

Charles Edward Noble passed away on Monday, June 6, 2016, at the age of 80 years, beloved husband of Laverne Noble of Medicine Hat. He also leaves to cherish his memory, his daughter, Terry Noble and son, Ted (Tammy) Noble; six grandchildren, James, Marc (Shandel) and their daughter Camilla, Josh, Sam, Chaz and Ethan; brothers and sisters-in-law, Richard (Jean) Lemke and Ken (Gail) Lemke and their families and two neighbour grandsons, Zak and Kylan and their mother and father, Eve and Dylan. In honor of Charles’ request, a private family time of remembrance will be held. Chuck was a huge personality, seeing life as an ongoing series of adventures. He liked to learn everything that he could so tried many different occupations – mechanic, cattle farmer, auctioneer, real estate agent, teacher, school administrator, and as a singer at many occasions. His grandsons will tell you that if you ever needed to know how to do most anything at all, just ask Grandpa.
