1954 ~ RATHWELL ~ 2015

Donald "Don" Wayne Rathwell of Medicine Hat, passed away on Sunday, December 13th, 2015 at the age of 61 years. Don leaves to cherish his memory his three brothers, John (Sandy) Rathwell, Dennis Rathwell and Gary Rathwell; four sisters, Edna Martin, Shirley (Gordon) Jangula, Barbara (Len) Visser, Sandy (Rick) Unger; two sisters-in-law, Marge Rathwell and Lorraine Rathwell; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Don was predeceased by his parents, Elmer and Mildred Rathwell; two brothers, George Rathwell and Herb Rathwell; two sisters, Audrey Rathwell and Doreen Wiest. Don was born on January 23rd, 1954 in Medicine Hat. He was an avid reader, loved fishing and playing pool. He also loved to socialize and have a cold beer with his buddies. Don was always available to lend a helping hand, he was a very caring man. He will be missed greatly by his many family and friends. A Private Funeral Service will be held at Saamis Memorial Funeral Chapel with Dr. David J. Carter officiating. Arthur “Art” William Riegel passed away on Tuesday, December 15, 2015, at the age of 94 years, beloved husband of Lydia Riegel of Medicine Hat. Family and friends who wish to pay their respects may do so at the PATTISON FUNERAL HOME on Sunday evening from 7:00 – 8:00 p.m. and at the church on Monday from 10:00 – 10:55 a.m. The funeral service will be held in the Hillcrest Evangelical Missionary Church (3785 13th Ave SE) on Monday, December 21, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Mark Bolender officiating.
