1947 ~ WITTS ~ 2015

John Edward Arthur Witts, beloved husband of Eileen Witts of Medicine Hat, passed away on Monday, October 12th, 2015 at the age of 68 years. John also leaves to cherish his memory four children, Sheldon (Lenora) Witts, Jason Witts, Katherine Witts, and Quentin Witts; nine grandchildren; five great- grandchildren; one brother, Jim (Lila) Witts; three sisters, Janet Renschler, Joyce (Neil) Simpson, and Jean (Steph) Choja; three brothers-in-law, Garnet Renschler, Wayne (Mary) Ulbricht, and Victor (Lori) Ulbricht; four sisters-in-law, Brenda Siegers, Sheila (Ron) Papove, Rita (Ken) Ireland, and Lana (Richard) Miller; numerous nieces and nephews; and his dog and beloved companion, Bailey. John was predeceased by his parents, Jack and Verna Witts; Eileen’s parents, Jack and Lydia Ulbricht; one sister, Joan Renschler; two brothers-in-law, Doug Renschler and Bert Siegers; one niece, Janine Siegers; one nephew, Shawn Whitney; and one great-grandson, Zane Widmer. In his younger years, John was a Life Guard at Elkwater and Heald Pool in Riverside. In 1965, he married his high school sweetheart, Eileen, and they recently celebrated their 50th anniversary. He loved being outdoors and especially enjoyed camping, fishing, being on the boat with his grandkids, as well as playing golf with friends Bill, Paul, and Jim. He was also an avid runner for many years. John and Eileen loved travelling together and, in later years, spending their winters in Yuma, Arizona. John made many friends and “work buddies” over the 35 years he worked for Canadian Fertilizers, a job he truly enjoyed. He will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by his family and friends. The Funeral Service will be held at SAAMIS MEMORIAL FUNERAL CHAPEL, #1 Dunmore Road SE, on Friday, October 16th, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. with Dr. Shane Andrus officiating. A Private Interment will take place at Hillside Cemetery. Memorial gifts in John's memory may be made to the Margery E. Jacob “Jake” Pete Neigum passed away on Wednesday, October 14, 2015, at the age of 84 years, beloved husband of Joyce Neigum of Medicine Hat. Those who wish to pay their respects may do so at the PATTISON FUNERAL HOME on Friday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and at the church on Saturday from 9:30 to 10:25 a.m. Family and friends will gather for prayers in the PATTISON CHAPEL on Friday evening at 7:00. The funeral mass will be celebrated in Holy Family Parish (1451 Strachan Road SE) on Saturday, October 17, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. with Fr. Albert Sayson celebrant. Interment will follow in the Hillside Cemetery. PAUL STERLING

1920 – 2015
We would like to announce that on October 9th, 2015, Paul Sterling (95) has vacated his premises at Sunnyside, South Country Village, to move into his new and wonderfully upgraded home; one of the mansions on Golden Street, New Jerusalem, Heaven. He will enjoy visiting with Jesus and all his family and friends that have gone on home before him. Paul is survived by his son, Karl (Karen) Sterling and their children; his daughter, Terrill (Doug) Weisner and their children; three grandsons and their families; seven great-grandchildren; and many step grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his step-daughters, Marilyn (Ken) Petty, Gloria (Glen) Rolloff and their families; his brothers, Joseph and Karel; half-brother, Sigmund; four sisters, Eugenia, Lydia, Tanya, and Vera and their families. Paul was predeceased by his parents; his first wife, Emma nee Muench (1986); his second wife, Lydia nee Huva (2003); several siblings and other family members. A Time of Memorial will be held at South Country Village, Wuerfel Auditorium, on October 17th, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. A family interment will be held in B.C. in the spring.
