1927 ~ BOSCH ~ 2015

With heavy hearts the family would like to announce the passing of their dad, grandpa, brother and uncle, Lucas Bosch at the age of 88 years at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital on Saturday, September 5th, 2015 with his daughter at his side. Lucas leaves to cherish his memory his children, Marian (Lawrence) Lehr, Rosemarie Hahn, and Maureen (John) Chin all of Medicine Hat; his grandchildren, Christopher (Jenny) Mossey, Jason Lehr, Kimberly Hahn (Darren Le Blanc), Krystal, Kristina and Kurtis Chin; four great grandchildren, Jacob, Olivia, Liam and Jordyn; one brother, Anton Bosch; three sisters, Katie Schafer, Mary Brink, and Tillie Krassman; and a dear friend, Helen Zacher; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Besides his beloved Frances, Lucas was predeceased by one son, David Louis Bosch on October 13th, 1993; his parents, Joseph and Helena Bosch; two brothers; and four sisters. Lucas was born on May 20th, 1927 on the family farm in the Burstall district. He was raised and educated in the district attending Mamouth School. Lucas met Frances Bonogofski and they were married on October 20th, 1953 in the Blumenfeld Church. They continued to farm the home place while building a home in Burstall. They lived in Burstall for four years before relocating to Medicine Hat. Lucas continued to farm until 1981 and also worked for Medicine Hat Plymouth Chrysler for eight years. Lucas was a people person who loved life. He loved to entertain the senior citizens at Sunnyside, St. Joseph's, Teeoda, and Central Park Lodge. He was a member of the Moose Lodge and the Medicine Hat Royal Canadian Legion. Lucas liked tinkering and fixing, visiting with friends, as well as camping, nature and fishing. He truly enjoyed his trips to Hawaii. Family was extremely important to Lucas and he cherished all the time he spent with his family and grandchildren. He will be deeply missed. The family would like to take this time to thank all of the staff at the Wellington, Dr. Saujani, and all the other doctors and nurses who cared for dad on the second floor of the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital. PATRICK’S ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH, 238 – 2nd Avenue NE, on Friday, September 11th, at 1:00 p.m. with Father Tomy Manjaly, celebrant. DONALD JAMES ROBERTSON


January 23, 1944 ~ September 4, 2015


Donald James Robertson beloved husband to Sheryl Robertson, passed away while surrounded by his family at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital on Friday, September 4, 2014 at the age of 71 years. Don attended school in Calgary at the Glengarry Elementary and graduated from Viscount Bennett High school. He married the love of his life, Sheryl Dennison in Medicine Hat on August 31, 1991. Don worked for Safeway in his teen years as a stock boy, and later in life as a tow truck driver, a special constable for the City of Calgary, then he drove for City Transit, worked as a Sales Rep for Libby’s and Nielsons, most notably driving Greyhound Bus for 28 years and after his retirement, he drove school bus for Totem Transportation. Don loved to read, watch action films and war movies. In his spare time Don enjoyed making wine, refurbishing furniture, puttering around the yard mostly watering and loved to converse about all sports but in particular, hockey, football, baseball and wrestling to who ever would listen. He was a member of the Legion and enjoyed camping with family and friends. Don valued their trips to Mesa, Arizona to visit his brother and especially his last vacation to Belfour, B.C. to visit Bill and Penny. He especially had a fondness in his heart for his pet dog, Teddie and Grandkitty Clair. Don’s memory will forever be treasured in the hearts of his wife, Sheryl; children, Gina (Phil) Hutcheons, Troy (Caroline) Robertson, Shaun (Carol) Robertson; Sheryl’s children, Shawn (Alisha) Dennison, Stason Dennison; step-children, Kim Vance and Darren (Cathy) Klarholm; eight grandchildren; brother, Doug (Linda) Robertson; mother-in-law, Frieda Jeske; sisters- in-law, Lenora (Ken) Duchscherer, Sandra (Howard) Painter, Janice (Harvey) Hoffner as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Don was predeceased by his parents, James and Alice Robertson and father-in- law, Howard Jeske. Florence “Nora” Whitney, beloved wife of Arthur Whitney passed away peacefully on Friday, September 4, 2015 at the age of 64 years. Nora will be forever remembered in the hearts of her husband, Arthur; daughters, Shelley (Roy) Day and Tina (John) Meier; numerous grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her mother and her grandson, Cody. Nora was born on October 3, 1950. She loved yard work, her cats and watching cooking shows. She will be deeply missed. 1939 ~ 2015
Mrs. Shirley Elizabeth Hart, beloved wife of David Hart, passed away at the Foothills Hospital in Calgary on Friday, September 4, 2015, at the age of 76 years. Shirley was born on August 5, 1939 in Leader, Saskatchewan. She attended primary school at the Hallewell School, ten miles south of Richmound, Sk. and graduated high school at St. Theresa’s Academy in Medicine Hat. Shirley married David on June 30, 1958 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Medicine Hat. She worked as an assistant manager for K-Mart Food Services and loved baking, cooking, traveling throughout Canada and the USA with her husband and daughters, and was a long time member of the Loyal Order of Moose. Shirley enjoyed knitting, crewel embroidery, reading and was an avid watcher of daytime soap operas and curling on TV. She occasionally tried her luck at the penny slot machines at the casino as well as spending evenings with friends and playing cards. Shirley was a loving, caring person who was devoted to her family and her greatest achievements in life were her husband and their daughters. Shirley will be forever remembered by her husband, David; children, Terry (Don) Eftoda, Dixie Forester (Chris), and Cindy Packet (Willie Robertson); 8 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; brother, Garry (Marion) Folk; aunt, Julia Hellman; brothers-in-law, Don (Fran) Hart and Bob (Marg) Hart, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Balzer and Frances Folk; brother, Killian Folk and sisters-in-law, Rita (Bill) Barnes and Norma Hart.
