Mrs. Annie (Anne) Wolfe (nee Faichuck), wife of the late Mr. Sebastian (Slim) Wolfe, passed away peacefully at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital on Thursday, December 4, 2014, at the age of 92 years. The family of Roy Deibert is saddened to announce his passing on Wednesday, December 3, 2014. Roy was predeceased by his parents, Jacob and Hannah Deibert; his sister Elsie Koch; his brothers, Earl, Hilbert and Lewis; sister-in-law, Elsie Deibert; brother-in-law, Ed Kisinger and his nieces, Cheryl (Eldon) Riley and Connie (Ken) Koch. He is survived by his brother, Bob (Noreen) Deibert, sister Violet Kisinger; sisters-in-law, Bertha Deibert and Violet Deibert; niece, Janet (Don) Repp and nephews Ken Koch, Len (Lina) Koch, Gary (Kathy) Deibert, Gord (Linda) Deibert, Laverne (Wendy) Deibert, Darryl (Paulette) Deibert, Darcy (Diane) Deibert, Brad (Elaine) Deibert and Greg (Laurie) Deibert as well as numerous cousins, including a special cousin, Lucille Wolfer. Roy was born on January 3, 1925 in Empress, Alberta. He was raised on the family farm in Burstall and attended Sandy Point School until Grade 8. He moved to Medicine Hat where he eventually established a career with Canada Post as a mail carrier for 28 years. It was early on after moving to the city that Roy and his brother Lewis played baseball for a number of teams which won both league and city championships over the years. After retirement, Roy continued to walk every day and could be seen walking in the neighbourhood and stopping to visit neighbours or walking in the mall and stopping for coffee with his buddies to solve the world’s problems. Roy enjoyed family gatherings, laughing at the antics of his young great nieces and nephews, or “the little fat guys,” as he called them. Roy was a kind and caring man and a wonderful uncle and great uncle to his family. He will be greatly missed. At Roy’s request, a funeral service will not be held; however, a family graveside servicewill be held at a later date. Ruby Mann passed away on Tuesday, December 2, 2014, at the age of 89 years, beloved wife of Les Mann of Medicine Hat. She also leaves to cherish her memory her children, Kim Mann (Kimberly Harrison) of Medicine Hat, Bob (Marion) Mann of Edmonton, Pam Mann (Lana Smith) of Victoria and Dennis (Terri) Mann of Medicine Hat; six grandchildren, Sharla Mann, Miranda Mann, David Mann, Russell Mann, Justine Mann and Jade Mann; four great grandchildren, Liberty, Reilly, Quinn and Lily; sister-in-law, Lee Hehr of Medicine Hat as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Justina and Michael Hehr; her brother, Elmer Hehr; two sisters, Edna Unger and Vera Sarginson. Ruby was born on a farm in the Woolchester area south of Seven Persons and attended school in Medicine Hat. Ruby was a warbride who married her RAF husband Les in Medicine Hat in the spring of 1943 and enjoyed more than 70 years of marriage. During WWII, Les was reassigned back to England which didn’t stop Ruby from making the risky 21 day trip by ship to England to surprise Les. After the war they settled in Medicine Hat where she worked at the order desk at Sears for many years and later shifted her focus to raising her 4 kids. She was an avid dart player and loved bowling, golf and gardening. She looked forward to the holiday season where she could entertain family and friends. Jean Annie Mueller of Medicine Hat passed away quietly in her sleep with her son at her side on Tuesday, November 25, 2014, at the age of 88 years. She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Cheryl Insko of Bienfait, Saskatchewan, Maureen Callahan of Edmonton and Trevor Mueller of Redcliff; her grandchildren, Brad Insko, Raquel Insko (Scott Bonogofsky) both of Medicine Hat, Norma Jean DeViller of Hantsport, Nova Scotia, Michelle Insko of Estevan, Saskatchewan and Rachelle Wolfe of Red Deer; her great grandchildren, Bryanna and Brandon Insko of Medicine Hat, Jessica, Jonathan and Jonas DeViller and Frannie Spencer all of Hansport, Nova Scotia; her sister, Marie Kasian of Winnipeg; numerous relatives of her late husband as well as many friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Harry and Lena (Repay) Kasianyk; her husband, Ivan Mueller; her brothers, Willie and John and her son-in-law, John “Teddy” Insko. Jean was born on January 28, 1926 in Gorlitz, Saskatchewan where she spent her childhood and teenage years. During the war years, she worked in an aircraft factory in Ft. William, Ontario. Later, she moved to Brooks where she met Ivan Mueller and they were married in Medicine Hat on April 22, 1948. Together, they moved to Medicine Hat and raised their three children. Jean was very adept at sewing, knitting, crocheting and embroidery. Her family were all recipients of her numerous crafts. She was happiest when growing vegetables in her garden and puttering around in her flower beds, something she managed to do right up until her passing. Jean was the proud winner of many awards at the Medicine Hat Stampede for her cherries, gooseberries and raspberries. December 3, 1930 ~ December 2, 2014

With heavy hearts the family of Mr. Ralph Hertz, beloved husband of Mrs. Lillian Hertz, announce his passing at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital on Tuesday, December 2, 2014, at the age of 83 years, one day short of his 84th birthday. Ralph was born on a farm near Mendham, SK., on Dec 3, 1930 and moved with his family as an infant to the farm south of New Brigden, AB. He attended several country schools and finished High School in Oyen. Ralph married the love of his life, Lillian Zeliznik on August 18, 1956 in Medicine Hat. His faith was important to him and he was an active member of Holy Family Parish in Medicine Hat. Ralph loved the land and devoted his life to raising their five children on the same land he was raised on. He was a caring and loving husband and father with a keen eye for detail. Ralph could build and fix anything or come up with an invention and make it happen. He was keenly interested in his grandchildren’s achievements and careers. Ralph loved curling, was an avid golfer, enjoyed camping with his family and especially time spent with Lil and friends in Arizona. His most memorable occasion was celebrating their 58th Wedding Anniversary in August 2014. Ralph will be forever remembered in the hearts of his wife, Lil; children, Cheryl (Dale) Cummings and daughter Lindsy; Darcy Hertz and daughters, Karly, Mandy (Tirone) Parker; Rick (Mary) Hertz and sons, Danny, Tyson, Brandon; Terry Anne Hertz, son, Kurtis (Courtney) Heck, and daughter, Keely; Greg Hertz (Natalie Holman) and daughter, Eden. He is also survived by his sisters, Lydia Biblow, Dorothy Smigelski and brother, Danny (Bonnie) Hertz as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. Ralph was predeceased by his parents and three sisters. It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Gladys Viola Reilly of Medicine Hat on Wednesday, December 3, 2014, at the age of 91 years. She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Pat (Lynn) Reilly of Medicine Hat, Sandy (Ross) Charette of Castelgar, B.C. and Susan (Don) Frederickson of Pense, Saskatchewan as well as her cousins and many great friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Bertha and Ed Lenz; her brother, Harold (Jo) Lenz and her sister, Erna (George) Posehn. Gladys was born on August 16, 1923 in Winnipeg. She worked for Medicare and Social services in Regina for 22 years and retired in 1984. Gladys travelled extensively and went to Texas for 6 months every year for 20 years. She moved to Kelowna in 1997; then to Medicine Hat in 2009. Gladys enjoyed wood carving, painting and loved going to Bingo. A graveside service will be held in Regina at a later date. Mr. Robert ‘Bob’ Sinclair Ewart, beloved husband of Mrs. Donna Ewart, passed away at the Rockyview General Hospital in Calgary, Alberta on Tuesday, December 2, 2014, at the age of 64 years. Collette Vold passed away peacefully after a long and courageous battle with cancer on Tuesday, December 2, 2014, at the age of 60 years, beloved wife of Mark Vold and loving mother of three sons, Kristopher (Rachel), Joshua (Carla) and “Buzz” Kenneth Vold. She also leaves to cherish her mother, Nadine Wynder and her siblings. She was predeceased by her father, Reed Wynder on February 28, 2012. Collette’s life was made complete with her grandchildren, Hadley, Beckett, Moira, Oliver and Caroline. Collette was so happy to have all the great friends in her life. She loved and was greatly loved. She will be laid to rest at a family graveside service in her honor, in Hill Spring, Alberta.
